Use adverbs but keep a balance

You can go all he said she said but use them slightly during dialogue

Use adverbs when introducing a new character entering the dialogue

Wasabi them out

Set the tone with them

For example: "I know about everything" he uttered, his eyes glassy as he looked at Don

" What do you mean? What's everything?"

" You already know what I mean... YOU KNOW!"

"Ray I don't!" Don cried,"What is it that you're talking about!"

Compared to :

"I know about everything" he uttered, his eyes glassy as he looked at Don

" What do you mean? What's everything?"he asked

" You already know what I mean... YOU KNOW!" He shouted

"Ray I don't!" Don cried,"What is it that you're talking about!"

The second one sounds muddied up right?

MORAL OF THIS POST IS....Use adverbs but keep a balance ,and especially if it's a same sex dialogue

If writing a smut or a closer look into a character ....

you've gotta melt away all the outside

One who may seem as soft and submissive may be in reality dominant and confident

You've gotta throw readers off from their assumptions

Like a character's plot twist personality

The idea of such thing was so ridiculous,he thought it was a drunken dream,but here he was sobbing in his lover's embrace that he so dearly missed. Oh the irony of stumbling into the old home he had once a shared with his lover, after all these years before he swore never to set foot on those old wooden steps with the chipped paint . He felt flashes of the better days before he had shut himself off to the world. After that day, he washes himself out with the devil's cup.Night and day,caged up in his home like a wild animal, with the difference of being caged up by choice. He who had once been rosy and plump, withered into a pale, stick like version of that man. A very different man that he once was. Now he is a man who thinks life enjoys his suffering, because it refuses to leave from him. He thought of it quite peculiar to feel his lover's solidness wrapped around him, for his lover had been gone for far too long. The man realizes he cannot wake from what he thought what a drunk fitfull slumber, because he who had begged for life to leave him, was lifeless.

Living is like glass

Firm and sturdy

But with one small crack the whole thing falls apart

Though it can be fixed but the lines are left as a reminder
