Starting in the new year, I’ll be launching THE SEPULCHRAL CITY, a webcomic that I’ll be updating weekly. In the past, I’ve primarily worked with collaborators, but this project will be 100% me. I love developing projects with friends, but this is something I’ve been meaning to do for a while.
A little about me? I’m a Vancouver based illustrator and I’ve been making comics for quite a while now. Although I’ve been in the enviable position of having some of those comics published by some buzz worthy independent publishers, those comics sold next to nothing. I’ve found it very difficult to build an audience for myself. I think I suck at marketing and, to be completely honest, a lot of the artwork I did for those previous comics was pretty uninspired.
This comic isn’t exactly intended to be my magnum opus. It’s a fun little action / adventure comic that will be completely silent. This is just stupid fun for me and I’m pretty much making it up as I go. My main inspiration was Travis Charest’ SPACEGIRL. It’s just something fun I’ll be working on in between the other projects I have on the go.
