Expect Wildstar Refugees

As most of you might know, Wildstar shut down today. It, in my opinion, had an amazing and thriving RP community that remains passionate about the game even now after it’s been shutdown. Many of them are looking for a new MMO to go to, and many have expressed interest in FFXIV. If you see any of these guys, please treat them well, be nice, and be respectful. They were all great people, and it really sucks to have your game of choice shut down like that.

I’m sure it goes without saying, but please give them a warm welcome.

I’ve been with Wildstar since the Betas and other stresstests and stayed subbed till the last day, even after it went FTP. It was a great game with a unique style and great humor and I am sad to see it go.

That said, I’d be more than happy to welcome fellow space cowboys to FFXIV! You need any help learning the reigns or just a buddy to hang out, hit me up.

Hey all, thanks for dropping by. I know I’ve been away for a while, but I need some help. Some stuff has been going on in my current apartment. It’s not as homey as I would like. And living styles are not working out between my two roommates and myself to put it in very nice terms. It is driving me up the wall. My health is also at risk since one smokes and has an ESA dog that has created biohazards in the living room when he is anxious or his owner is away. (And this dog is housebroken.)

I’ve found another place to live with a family friend for the time being until my boyfriend is financially able to join me. I have just told my roommates last night kinda out of the blue that I will not be signing the next lease with them in January. Now, they are ignoring me, so I’ll be bearing this until January if they decide to be passive aggressive.

I’ve got some money squared away, but some extra help would be wonderful if you have help to spare. If not, please reblog this in support! With some help, I may be able to do a dual rent thing until January. Thanks all! <3

I got this announcement notification from one of my discord channel and I thought I dare to make a call on it to spread the word. I find personally important - I personally think this is bad and shouldn’t pass - I personally think it worth to write up and spread. I try not share strange or suspicious links either.

 Article 13 is basically conceived to deal with the “I’m just hosting / indexing / providing a tracker for content, but the content itself is not mine in any way”. 

The “solution” for this “problem” is to make any and all service providers legally responsible for everything they touch AND make checking said stuff mandatory.

Proposed is the obvious - automated (((algorithms)))  (read: content recognition AI) to sort through all the data, while they “permit” providers to take down shit that slipped through by hand. 

 So that’s bad to begin with, but get this. They’re so out of touch: Article 11 of the same directive proposes a “snippet tax” for copyrighted content - as in, a few second clip, or a few lines of text from somewhere and you have to pay some small amount of moneys to whomever that originates from.
