Asking For Help

Hey so, I don’t normally feel comfortable with this sort of thing but I’m desperate, and couldn’t figure out what else to do. I’m Rosie! Transwoman from Texas living in Portland, ME!

I just got a job working as a child protective caseworker—permanency. That means it’s my job to help children find appropriate placements after being removed from instances of substantiated abuse and neglect. I love my job, but it’s driving heavy and without a car, there’s no job. It doesn’t look like much but I can’t even get in the car?

Which...brings us to the problem:

I was hit in the side when driving to work today. Really fucked up the side of my car. It’s been towed, and I have to get it to a shop. There’s a $1000 dollar deductible before my insurance covers the rest.

I can do this. No problem. That’s what savings are for thank God, except. It leaves me broke. Which is bad. I just signed a lease for a new apartment to escape a physically assaultive roommate, and I need to pay the first prorated rent on the 9th—in 8 days. I can’t back out since, well, I already signed.

So I’m asking for help with rent.

Found some info out I think? This dude keeps coming into my friends apartment whenever we’re about to rp. He comes in wordlessly and sits down. I’ll whisper him and ask him politely to leave, which he will without a word. It happened so often however that we locked the apartment door.

Last night, we walked into MY apartment which is in an entirely different area. I asked him to leave…again…and he did but it creeped me out tbh.

After a quick google search, my friend found him on some 4chan boards and apparently he’s creeping on people’s rp and posting it? I think? Idk just a heads up for y’all on Balmung. You can look him up on the lodestone - he’s def there.

He has done this with me in my apartment as well! Thankfully the friend I was rping with and I were doing it in party chat so he didn’t get anything from us past if he took screens of us hanging in the bath, but yea, ever since I’ve been locking my apt when I’m rping even if it’s something completely innocent.

Yeah, it’s absolutely weird. I wrote it off the first time as a new player (he has the sprout) just being curious about RP, but still politely asked him to leave. Then it happened again. Then again. Then again. Around the fourth or fifth time, it got annoying and creepy, and left me and my friends wondering if he was stalking us or something.

We hadn’t seen him in a while since we’ve been leveling and have been RPing more in our house/FC house/FC rooms, but as soon as we used my apartment last night, he came back and it was just kinda the last straw, and I figured I’d ask about it here.

Yea I’ve only seen him the once myself, but it left me so anxious that I lock up tight anytime I rp anymore. It’s just awkward. And if he actually is trolling for RPs to post them online that’s hella skeevy and makes me all the more glad I rp in party more often then not when not in public RP, lol. Another friend says she’s seen him before as well, and has even been known to leave messages in the visitor book if you have one.

He has come in on my apartment before. Can confirm. He came in when I was just ooc with a friend. I tried talking to him and he just stared at me. It was a very uncomfortable 15 minutes. He then signed the guest book and left.

Can confirm, has happened to me before. It happened once and I went to start locking my doors then I took a brief half-break from the game in preparation for Shadowbringers. I still RPed, but never my apartment for some IC reasons. So it just stayed locked.

For months it stayed locked.

So fast forward to last week, I’m about to RP in my apartment with a couple of friendos. I unlock the door, a friend goes to grab a drink before we start RPing and... BAM. RUSSET. FUCKING. OAK. He’s on my couch, just sitting there without a care in the world. Just snuck up on me like being on the wrong end of someone cropdusting farts in Wal-Mart. 

This dude beat me to the punch in using my own apartment for his own couch sitting fetish gains. The first time my apartment was unlocked in literal months and he was there in less than five minutes.

As most of you might know, Wildstar shut down today. It, in my opinion, had an amazing and thriving RP community that remains passionate about the game even now after it’s been shutdown. Many of them are looking for a new MMO to go to, and many have expressed interest in FFXIV. If you see any of these guys, please treat them well, be nice, and be respectful. “That’s a good one, I think. Because there’s like a million different questions. What’s the gemstone? Where did I get it? Is that making me fly? I’d ask myself those first, because if I drop it, and that’s what is making me fly? Uh, that’s not a good time, really. But, assuming that is what makes me fly? I’d definitely keep the gemstone… then I’d probably go get Shazi, show her, then get her to follow me to those ruins floating nearby in Nym, right? You know the ones slightly southwest of the Hermit’s Hovel shack thing? You know, that place where people keep having sex.

Like who even owns that? You’d think the owner would get tired of people having sex in his hot spring… I imagine the water is more… I’m not going to finish that statement. But anyway, I’d totally go to those floating ruins in Nym. Then after that, I’d be the one that studies the gemstone, because it’s really interesting, and mine.
