I guess I'm sort of back? I was on the fence about quitting Tumblr awhile ago, and then they started banning adult content and that was the final nail in the coffin. THAT BEING SAID, I wanted to pop back on here to say hi and how are you and I started pole dancing last year but can't anymore because goddamn social distancing. Now I'm trying to get myself an Xstage pole for my place but oooooh man they are not cheap. Anyway, hi. How are you?

In accomplishment news, I did a motherfucking handstand! The first time I’ve ever done one in my entire life. And yes, totally to brag, it took me about five minutes to learn. I started from attempt zero TODAY.
This meant so much to me. You have no idea. I was a short, chubby little girl, and the assumption was that I could never be athletic. I couldn’t participate in gymnastics or dance (who wants to watch a fat child???), and sports were off limits (but you’re a giiiirl). Now I can do things that I never knew I could do, and learn things that I was discouraged from learning.
Oh and to add: I did a bunch at the beginning of my workout. Basically as soon as I could do them, I couldn't stop. These were from videos at the end of my shoulder and ab workout, so I was already pretty tired.

Here are the highlights of my glutes and hamstrings workout from this morning. I've been losing a bit of fat from doing HIIT at the end of every work out, and it seems to be getting sucked out of my ass this time around. Or maybe it's just in my head. Either way, I need to get my ass back into the game!

I love this crop top I got off Amazon with my Amazon gift cards that I've accumulated. I need to wear crop tops more. Also featured but not seen is the sports bra that makes my boobs look big. Thanks, padding! I don't normally keep the cups in, but I felt like it today.
This one's kind of tricky. Notice the woman behind me is doing the same move, but flat on the bench. This is a good place to start if you're worried about your lower back. My thing with this is making sure my neck and shoulders are supported, as I am prone to pulling those muscles when doing chest. Oh, and can you see my triceps working too?
Incline chest press 80# for 3. I really need a spot. I know I can do heavier, but heavier has become a weight that if it falls on me, it could really hurt. Anyone want a mutual spotter? I'm pretty good at it. 😉
This super set frickin killed me! It was so much harder than it looks, believe me. Bulgarian lunges into single leg squats with the Smith machine. I was trying to engage my quads as much as possible, but there is glute work in there too. Yowzah.
Narrow stance squats on two 5 lb plates at the top of my workout. My left foot was bothering me a bit, but this actually kind of popped it back into place?? *shrug* Anyway. I look good in my new leggings, yes? I splurged a little bit on some new gear (and spent all my Amazon gift cards... taking more if anyone wants to give...), but I don't regret it. I had a shitty holiday.
Tumblr was having a dumb last night and didn't post anything I tried to upload. What I wanted to say was... Can you hear my quads SCREAMING? I can. Also check out my new leggings!
To fill you in, I am not a fan of running. It just screams torture to me. So in typical masochistic fashion, I registered myself for the Austin Marathon 5k in mid-February. I figured I could at least walk it. Plus I'll be with my office mates and some friends. How bad could it be? I jogged for the first time in... oh... 10 years last Friday. I did half a kilometer walk, half a kilometer jog for 3.5 k. It was too easy. Today, I did half a kilometer walk, 1 kilometer jog, and repeat for 5k. That's 3k total jogging. I was shocked at how easy this one was too. The marathon is in just over a month. Do you think I could jog/run the whole thing? I still want to keep up my lifting, though I'm going to focus on burnouts and aerobic exercises until after the 5k. I think I can do this, guys.

So my HIIT for today was some shadow boxing. I do not know how to throw a punch, to be honest, so I'm sure my form is garbage. But I wanted to do something that would coincide with back day.
