Just spent the last several hours cranking out the final thousand words to my latest fic, Close Call, all for your reading pleasure and if I'm to be brutally honest with ya'll, it was probably the best seven hours I've spent this whole week lol

Extra reason to be excited is that there's a juicy bit of spice sprinkled in near the very end (not to mention a plethora of self-indulgent whouffaldi references also thrown into the mix)

Absolutely no one asked, but one of my biggest pet peeves is when I look back on something I've written (say, a past Tumblr post) that, at the time of writing, I thought read perfectly well enough to post without eventually regretting it, only to re-read it months later thinking "darn it, there were so many other ways I could've phrased that what the heck?!" and by the time you come to re-edit, the original post has already been shared round and approved by others without a single batted eyelid. Even when that reality sinks in, I still experience second-hand embarrassment for my previous writer-self.

Only time will tell if this post shall one day undergo that very same fate...

Indeed, Peter did in fact confirm that, but the sheer correlation between the newfound intensity in his relationship with Clara and the very drastic change from wearing strictly formal attire to suddenly frequenting a more youthful hoodie and t-shirt combo is not at all lost on the whouffaldi-analytical side of my brain 😭

Also just realised how clumsily I phrased that observation, but I'm glad the message is still getting across in spite of my awful grammar 😅
