It's been a few years since I had this thought but I'm still very much in the mind that White Mask Varré was based off Ambroise Paré, not just the similarity of the names but also because they're both war surgeons who made big advancements regarding blood—Varré is just flipped and causes bleeding whereas Paré helped stop it. Paré also used rose oil as part of his treatments, and Varré's weapon is a mace of roses and can be found in the Rose Church.

So! This is a perfect case study in situations where you should be wary of misinformation.

Take a moment and ask yourself, a project like this requires a lot of time, money and dedication of resources, why would scientists dedicate that time to something that could just be done by a tree?

The answer is they wouldn't. So that means this claim requires further investigation!

This project is called LIQUID 3, and it's not meant for cities with wide open spaces, it's meant for cities like Belgrade in Serbia. These cities are densely populated and heavily polluted, to the point where pollution actually chokes out current trees and makes creating green spaces difficult.

Liquid 3 was a PhD scientists answer to these problems. The microalgae tank is intended for spaces where you either:

Don't have enough space to plant full trees, or

Don't have enough time to plant trees and wait for them to grow up.

The tank is extremely efficient when you consider the amount of space needed compared to the amount of CO2 turned into oxygen. The tank can operate throughout the winter. And most importantly, it can be quickly set up in areas that desperately need relief from air pollution NOW not in 10 years when trees are done growing. Children currently suffocating on polluted air can't wait for trees to grow, they need to be taken care of now, and Liquid 3 is one of the ways to take care of them. Depending on the species of microalgea used, a number have shown a pretty amazing capacity to pull heavy metals out of the air which is something trees can get choked up by.

The tanks aren't just tanks either! Liquid 3 have solar panels placed on top, they have lighting and mobile phone charging, and they work as public benches. The designers of it want to encourage green spaces where there's room, but where there isn't room or time, Liquid 3 can step in. Realistically, this isn't a replacement for trees. It's replacing boring metal city benches with new, cooler benches that also clean the air (and have at least some heating during the winter).

Not only that, but the microalgea that grows is native to Serbia and all that microalgea has a ton of great uses! It makes for great fertilizer, compost, wastewater treatment, cleaner biofuels and even for helping create new tanks for further air purification. They only require a quick algae divide once a month, and the produced algae can be carted off to where ever it's needed. This makes them effective solutions for areas that can't sustain complex installations.

So yeah, there's actually quite a lot of places that would like these. Lots of people currently breathing in terrible quality air would much rather have their boring city benches replaced with really fucking cool algae tanks that clean the air and can be used to help create + sustain future green spaces in cities. I dunno about you, but I'd take that over a dumb metal bench any day. Put these at every bus stop and I'd be delighted.

Serbian here living in Belgrade! This is all true and I've actually seen some of these around the city a few times. They're amazing at what they do and really cool to watch up close because you can see pretty swirling inside them. It's not only functional but aesthetically pretty nice as well!

Oceiros. And probably with necrophilic tendencies too.

Shira with Midir: most underrated ship in ds3 ever. How Shira talks about her "dear friend" Midir breaks my heart every time. Both being raised away from the world in a secluded city with cult-like education. Filianore surely being a good mother figure to them both but Gwyn's decrees really fucked them up in the head, Shira in particular.

Nameless King/King of the Storm: dignified son of his dad. Ultimate based dragonfucker. I am sure he watched Gwyn and Seath have at it one day and couldn't forget it. He fought a duel to the death with a dragon king and they became inseparable since, which in insight could be a kind of "marriage" between two royalties of their respective species, and stayed with his new husband on the peak, building with his fellow simps the place we know today. How humans eat stones to become dragons and how dragons used magic to turn more human like (men-serpents) show how invested they were in the cohabitation and mingling of their two intelligent species. How NK rides KoS with no reins or saddle, in perfect symbiosis. How KoS still keep his dearest mate with him despite his hollowing. And how NK's spear trembles and hesitates before he claims the soul of the dying dragon! The feels! Oh the feeeeeels! a love story for the ages!

drakeblood knights: just as based as their ds2 predecessors. Archdragon Peak could have been a new capital of interspecies life and i really wonder how it could have thrived had it not died by the event of the game.

Bloodborne:

There are no dragons in bloodborne, but the Forbidden Woods are filled to the brim with snakes, so i give the medal to all the inhabitants of the Forbidden Woods, the Madaras twins being on the very top.

Elden Ring: aka the game where dragonfucking is literally canon

Godwyn and Fortissax. The best boys, the goats, the proud warriors that made peace between two cultures at war by saying "let's be friends instead". No "but". They fought, they fucked, they were so close that Fortissax cursed himself to try to give Godwyn proper funerals. There's even a dragonkin race in the character selection ffs!

Lansseax: she had a whole harem of Leyndell knights and Vyke definitely had her special favours.

Rykard/world devouring serpent: While not dragons per se, Serpents remain their kindred, and if you want THE canon non ambiguous reptilefucking couple in the whole series, it's them. Idk how eating Rykard counts as fucking (kinky tho), but this "union" gave birth to the man serpent race of this game, so congratulations Rykard, you get first place in this list!

Godrick. Like, come on, you saw it like me, he fisted that dead dragon head! Oceiros and Him would have been friends i think.

Igon, with how many times Bayle fucked him up and sent him tumbling down his mountain, only to come back and ask for more every time!

Honourable mentions:

The dragon simps with the ancient dragon in Sekiro. Whatever their relationship is, i can respect that, go my lads!

Dragon priestess (ER): i made her lose the favours of her lord and now she has crowned me her new lord as a replacement. Cannot say i don't owe her an apology for having been a douche like that.

Dragonlord Placidusax/gloam-eyed queen: a stretch from my part but since their reigns both take place just before Marika claimed the elden ring, i headcanon them as god and elden lord together.
