Underswap for JumpVerse Notes

The following is a proposed list for swaps for Underswap in JumpVerse. These are just my personal notes as the current story I'm working on spends a great deal of time in Underswap.

Swaps from Canon: Toriel – Asgore (Humbleburg is more run-down than New Home. The Ruins are now a sealed off museum with everything cleaned up and neatly marked with descriptions and history.) Chara – Frisk Monster Kid – Asriel (due to Toriel and Asgore's immortality, Asriel is now Toriel's nephew rather than son.) Flowey – Temmie (Instead of landing on a bed of flowers, Chara lands in a display of Temmie plushies in the museum gift shop.) Ruins Dummy (Dumbest Dummy) – Mad Mew Mew (Content Kitty Cat) Jerry (gets no swap) (Dr.) Papyrus – (Junior Cadet) Sans (Papyrus is still 19 but was a prodigy working at the lab since he was 12. Sans is still 29, and worked with Gaster on the trains up until 2 years ago when Papyrus suddenly retired after an unknown accident. Papyrus drinks honey and smokes. Sans makes tacos and his special attack is a magic mallet. Papyrus sells crepes instead of hot dogs at his part time stand.) (Dr.) Undyne – (Captain) Alphys (Undyne is more into comedic American cartoons rather than anime, eats microwavable TV dinners rather than ramen. Alphys is teaching Sans how to knit and sew rather than cooking.) Mettaton (Mettablook) – Napstablook (Napstaton) (Napstaton's shows are focused more on sports, vehicles, concerts and documentaries rather than cooking, fashion, plays or news. Mettablook comes up with new dances rather than remixing music.) Grillby – Miss Muffet (Grillby sells broths and sauces and overcharges, dresses flamboyantly. Muffet's cafe is breakfast themed and they're questioning their gender. Muffet's cafe was still owned by Grillby, who is a greedy landlord.) Nice Cream Guy – Burgerpants (Conductor) Gaster – (Dr. Person) River Person (The river has been swapped into a railroad. Dr. Person is lost in the AntiVoid rather than the Void.) Bratty and Catty – (Hopper and Scales) Royal Guard 1 and Royal Guard 2 (Greetings Bird) The Bird TCYOADSG – (Blooming Onion) Onion San (Greetings Bird actually gives helpful advice to Chara about going through Lavafall and not getting hurt. Blooming Onion will bloom into a big flower to allow Chara to cross the gap.)

Proposed Swaps:

Gerson – Aaron (Aaron is now old and fought beside Toriel in the war. Gerson is now a young man who shows off his muscles.)

All the Snowdin Guard dogs that are white are now black cats. Doggo is now a tuxedo cat. (Feel free to speculate about possible connections to Friend from Deltarune.)

Biome Changes:

Mt. Ebbot – Ebbot Valley Ruins – Pristine Museum Snowdin Forest/Town – Sunnedout Woods/Village Honeydew Inn – Savory Grill and Lodge (from Undertale Yellow) Waterfall – Lavafall Garbage dump – Fossil dig Echo Flowers – Vibration Stones Hotland – Hydroland CORE – ENGINE (instead of drawing energy from the core of the earth, the ENGINE produces energy from wind pressure in the Underground. Much of this pressure comes from the lava of Lavafall and water from Hydroland coming into contact.) MTT Resort – NPT Hotel New Home – Humbleburg

The residents of these locations fully swap with different locations unless otherwise specified: (Personalities may also have swaps but I'm not going to focus on that unless I have a need to.)

Snowdin residents are sent to Hydroland (formally Hotland) and NPT Hotel (formally MTT Resort) and vise versa.

Ruins residents are sent to Humbleburg (formally New Home) and vise versa.

Waterfall residents are sent to the ENGINE (formally the CORE) and vise versa.

S!Sans: "Wowzers! Dad I didn't know you knew French!"

S!Gaster: "Oh yes, I learned it a long time ago for something special... I can't remember what it was. I just haven't used it in so long."

S!Sans: "Amazing! You're so worldly!"

S!Papyrus, folding arms and grumbling: "Why didn't you ever teach us French?"

How can this monster live without a soul?

Though he appears to be in a fallen down state, the skeleton can still wake and give mild responses to stimuli. He has not answered any questions.

black blood, recovering injury

The marks on his face and "tattoos" at first appear to be stains. Instead, they are tightly packed black crystals.

Although most of his body is made of magic, the "marks" and his tongue are physical matter. The tongue in particular appears to be a magically infused living organism, stained with the essence of SOUL traits. Including Determination...

The body appears to be in it's late 20s. How was it able to grow these crystal structures? What are their purpose? How is his body crystal, magic and flesh? Is he a homunculus?

DT staining?

The black blood doesn't dust.

I will attempt to inject the subject with some of the remaining DT to see if there is a response...

Swap and Ink

Man, poor Swap Sans...

So here's my ideas so far for the timeline of JumpVerse. Spoilers btw if you're holding out for that.

Before Dream wakes, Blue and Ink basically fall in love. However, because they're both pretty young and naive about romantic attraction, they both think they're just best friends.

This attraction begins to break when they finally meet Dream, both of them being more attracted to Dream than each other.

Once again, without the three of them really knowing much around romance, they unintentionally form a platonic polycule, not realizing they are closer than most friends would be.

However, during the X Event, Ink becomes friends with Cross, and Cross is the one who tells Ink about romantic relationships. (Mainly because Cross has a crush on Ink but doesn't tell him.)

After the X Event, Blue is upset with Ink for saying he didn't consider him a friend- but his feelings get an even deeper cut when Dream becomes Ink's boyfriend despite Ink's betrayal.

It's only from Ink and Dream officially becoming a couple that Blue realizes he had a thing for both of them. However, he ends up being too embarrassed and caught in his feelings to ever tell either of them about it.

He wants to stay friends with Dream and is deeply afraid that if he confessed his feelings, that he'd lose Dream's friendship.

I have an idea of Ink spending time with Nightmare for a long while when he's first in the multiverse.

JumpVerse Nightmare is aware of some meta knowledge about the multiverse. And since recently Error has become a severe problem for him, he knows he needs to get Ink caught up on how to "be Ink" in order to mediate Error's destruction.

Nightmare is aware of the possibility of having Ink as an ally but knows that it's most likely Ink will join forces with Dream to become an enemy.

Still, since Dream hasn't woken yet, he will attempt to set Ink up to try to convince Dream to join him in dominating and controlling the multiverse together.
