bf!niki x reader ❅ fluff (lowkey died writing this), the soft niki agenda is alive through me w.c 500 reblogs appreciated ᰍ
The summer heat was sickly sweet as it curled around your aching body. The long hours of lectures had finally caught up to you as you flopped onto the couch, too unbothered to even take off your shoes. Sighing into the throw pillows, you settled in as the silence slowly lulled you to sleep.
That was exactly where Riki found you 30 minutes later—soft snores escaping your mouth, your legs hanging off the couch at an awkward angle. Slowly placing the grocery bags on the floor, he tiptoed over to you, his hand softly wrapping around your ankle as he took your shoes off and chucked them toward the door.
The feeling of someone touching your ankle woke you from your nap, hands coming up to rub at your sleep-heavy eyes as you mumbled his name.
“Hey, pretty,” his voice was soft, mirroring yours as you laid back down.
Brushing your hair away from your face, he lay on top of you, the familiar weight a comfort as you brushed your fingers through his hair. He looked up at you, chin resting on your stomach, a small smile on his face. You treasured the sight in front of you—the moment where his nonchalant personality cracked a little and you saw the boy you fell in love with, a side of him reserved only for you.
“Y’know I love you, right?”
You’d said it countless times before, mostly in passing, but the weight of the words in such an intimate moment caused him to freeze. He looked away, suddenly very interested in the floor, his ears a flaming shade of pink.
You giggled to yourself, fingers still threading through his hair.
Letting your hands drag down from his hair to his face, you traced his eyelashes and found home on his jaw, forcing him to look at you. You studied the way his eyes twinkled, a light blush peppering his cheeks as he replayed the words you said so easily—the words he’d screamed in his head every time he looked at you but never had the courage to say.
“I—I love you too,” he said low, like he was testing out the words, deciding how they tasted on his tongue. Then he pulled himself up, face to face with you, noses touching as he captured your lips in a soft kiss—one that ended almost as soon as it began—before he whispered it again.
You don’t remember how long you laid there, his body on yours, fingers intertwined as you peppered soft kisses to his cheeks.
The moment was rudely interrupted when Riki suddenly jumped off of you, rushing to the door and screaming, “Shit—shit—I bought ice cream and forgot to put it in the fridge.”
You laughed to yourself again as he scrambled to wipe away the sticky sweet puddle that had taken over your floor. Eyes falling heavy as sleep took you again, you felt him lay back on you, his hand finding yours as he hummed your favorite song.

genre: angst with like two lines of boyfie jihoon
summary: four bodies, one serial killing spree and a very curious MO you certainly have your work cut out for you. between this case and begging your boyfriend to get a proper night's sleep you find certain aspects of the case which my destroy every bit of comfort in your life
warnings: knife, blood and a little bit of gore
word count: 1.4k
a/n: its my fic so idk if it'll be good but yeah anyways enjoy ૮ • ﻌ - ა
•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•
you sighed as you went through the case reports again. the MO was all over the place, bits and pieces stolen from old cold cases, some of them not even revealed to the public. the only similarity between the 4 corpses - a single long cut over the heart quite possibly from a large kitchen knife and stitched back up as though the perpetrator had been curious about the inner workings of the muscle. the messiness of the various cuts and bruises littering the body contrasted vividly against the clean wound; single, calculated incision. you wanted to throw up but forced yourself to look at it for any clues. you were broken from your intense staring by your phone's incessant ringing. you smiled at the contact name and picked up, a sleepy voice awaiting you on the other side. "when are you gonna be done? it's late and you've been working the whole day." your eyes drooped close almost on instinct. "I'm leaving now. you sound tired so don't wait up for me." saying your goodbyes to the detectives on night shifts, you hailed a cab, wanting nothing more than to be wrapped in your boyfriend's arms.
you opened the door to your apartment to find it dark, the only light coming from the television. "Jihoon I told you not to wait up." he smiled at your arrival, getting up and grabbing your hands, guiding you to the bedroom. " I know but I wanted to fall asleep with you by my side."
you woke up to bright blue skies and birds chirping, noises emitting from the kitchen. you got up to the glorious sight of Jihoon in the kitchen cooking up something delicious by the smell of it. " get showered ill be done by then."
" you should really get your sleep talking under control." he smiled as you choked on your food. "did I do it again?
" he nodded softly, attention back on his plate. " something about old cold cases. you must've been stressed with your new one. It's been happening a lot lately." you gave him an apologetic smile before gulping at the water and kissing him and leaving.
you spent almost the whole day trying to crack down on the case before a call came in from the EMTs " we have a woman. must be in her early 20s. she was stabbed in the stomach and I think she might've been a victim in your serial killer case. there's a chance she might survive but I can't say anything." you shot up from your seat, noting the address and was shocked to find the attack occurred a mere 5 minutes away from a hospital, the hospital Jihoon happened to work. you rushed to the place and found the surgery still going on. half an hour later Jihoon walked out, shoulders slumped and shook his head. you fell onto the chairs n disappointment thinking of how the killer might have now another victim on his/her list. Jihoon rushed over to you. "I'm sorry, there was too much blood loss and the knife had pierced through vital organs. I'm sorry that she died because I couldn't save her and also for letting your one breakthrough in your case slip through my fingers." you realised that he had started sobbing and grabbed him, holding him close and assuring that it wasn't his fault.
your higher-ups and even your own team had advised you to stop obsessing over a case that had no clues whatsoever and move onto the many other cases piling up on your desk and you did so reluctantly and as a consequence, you found yourself seated at your dining table getting an earful from Jihoon as he stitched up a cut from a knife. you smiled at his pout and reached over, ruffling his head but quickly retracted and groaned as he purposely dressed up the wound a little more aggressively.
you sat at your desk the next morning and browsed through some case files and stretched, wincing as the stitches pulled at your skin. you shrugged off your jacket to inspect the wound when a sense of familiarity washed over you. you grabbed the serial killer case file and flipped through to the victims' autopsy photos; the familiarity bleeding into dread. the stitches on their chest were exactly the same down to the knot at the end. as you flipped over to their last known sites, small details that previously did not come to notice came into the light. the one person staring right at the camera in each picture, face covered beyond recognition with a cap and a mask. the one photo with his sleeve puller up and if you looked really closely you could just about make out the watch you bought him for his last birthday or the one where he was sitting on a bench, feet propped up showing the deep red shade of the couple shoes you had bought together, the ones that were on your feet currently. you slammed the case file shut, counting slowly to 10 to even out your breath and picked up the phone, typing in the number you had burned into memory. 3 rings later he picked up, small huffs on the other side as if he had just run. "where are you?" you sounded..happy and it shocked you. "at the hospital why?" your ears picked up the faint groaning of old metal and the clicks of metal locks swinging against each other. "just wanted to let you know id be late so you should sleep early." it took all your willpower to swallow the sob erupting in your throat. "I don't think I will but sure." he chuckled. you stood up wordlessly, slipping into a car and turning on the ignition, determined to stop him.
the moonlight was beautiful almost mocking you as you stood on the old rusty metal bridge where you both were sure to put a lock for each anniversary, 5 locks huddling close together, gun clutched tightly in your outstretched hands. the love of your life kneeled over the almost lifeless but definitely unconscious body of a woman looking at you, almost calculating your next move. he looked at you then the woman before digging the point of his knife into the neck of the woman and slashing sideways, blood seeping from the fresh wound. you dropped the gun and rushed forward pressing your hands against her neck to stop the flow of blood as he dropped the knife and stepped back leisurely. "oh sweetheart you shouldn't have come." he smiled almost innocently had it not been for the drops of blood on his face. "your sleep talk sure does annoy me but sometimes it's useful especially when I want to be creative with my hobby." he gestured at the woman. you let out a choked sob. "why?" you hated the way your voice broke. he dared to laugh. "why? why did I kill them? because I love the feeling I get. the rush when they beg for their lives as I plunge my knife into their chest. the fascination I get from =watching their heart desperately pump the last few drops of blood before I get bored and stitch it back up. before you ask I could've easily saved that girl you brought but I didn't and chose to sit back and watch as she struggled to take her last breaths." you tore your eyes away from him and focussed on the flowing water below, quickly moving and freezing on such a cold night. "you'll pay for what you've done, for the people you've killed." he scoffed "darling you're gonna have to catch me alive for that." saying so he leaned over the edge of the bridge and dropped into the waters below. that was where the paramedics and police officers you had called earlier found you, clutching the neck of the long-dead victim staring into the water.
~6 months later~
you walked into your apartment, finding it exceptionally cold. you thought back to the happy times you had shared in the place. you had gone to the funeral but without a body being found it felt more like a useless ceremony. you promised yourself you wouldn't let the particular case hinder your career but sometimes you found yourself falling onto your desk, biting onto the skin on the back of your hand to muffle the sobs as you had another breakdown.
as you thought about the past few months, you closed the window furrowing your eyebrows as you had no memory of opening it especially since it was the colder part of the year.
you looked into the mirror for a fleeting second and walked a few steps away before stopping and peering into the mirror again, your blood-chilling as you saw an all too familiar figure standing quite some distance behind you. "well, hello darling."

The unrelenting sun beat down on my forearms, and all I could think about was how cold I felt inside. standing, waiting to see you. I could still see you in my mind, the day I asked you out after pining after you for years. the soft smile when you agreed on the beach date with me. the smiles and soft giggles whenever I kissed your cheeks. the way your eyes glittered when I brought you flowers.
"Jeonghan" my friends called me and i snapped back to reality to see you in your beautiful white dress walking down the aisle. tears clouded my vision. i remembered the day i knelt and offered you the ring and the tears in your eyes as you said yes before kissing and i truly laughed for the first time. me memories turned sour quickly as i remembered all the fights right after the engagement. the fights we fought just for the sake of fighting. the day i returned home after a long day with your favorite flowers just for you to break up with me. the tears i shed that night trying to figure out what i did wrong. you look so happy in your wedding dress standing up their with him, the love of your life and it broke my heart that it wasn't me. i wasn't standing there with you.

Your summer had been boring so far, to say the least. You huffed, the wind ruffling your hair as you walked through the docks of your uncle’s vacation home while swinging your water bottle. There were summer houses all lined up within the beach, but only your uncle ever stayed here. Even then, he was spending the next week in the neighboring town to visit his old friend, so it was only you in the summer house. It gave the illusion that you had the beach all to yourself. To be honest, however, you couldn’t blame them. There was nothing here.
You set down your water bottle beside you and squatted along the edge of the dock, peering in to get a view of the sea. You couldn’t see much, given that it was nearing sunset, but the dark orange hue of the sun gave a pretty sight to the waters. One of the most pleasing things about being here was for the aesthetics. Water and the sea had always been calming to you, a refresher to the day’s stress. You could really stare at it for the whole day.
That was, until you saw a flash of something glimmering. You jumped up, startled before leaning closer to the edge of the dock. Why wasn’t this fish in the deeper parts of the water at this hour like every other fish? What kind of fish shone and shimmered? You sharpened your eyes, about to lean closer when you spotted it again. There, a little farther from the dock. It had teal scales, which glittered at the bounce of sunlight and two large fins as the end. The farther from the fin, the scales became less and less until they connected to a human torso.

it had been a long day. university and your part time job had not been merciful to you and all you wanted to do was lie down and calm your screaming muscles. stomping over you flopped ungracefully onto the couch, sighing in happiness as your tired body finally relaxed. "yn" you heard your boyfriend call out to you but you had no energy to answer, melting into the couch. you heard footsteps and something drop onto the floor before a heavy mass fell on top of you. you let out a quiet 'oof' and found yourself face to face with soonyoung, eyes twinkling and a soft smile on his face. you smiled back at him and he scooted downwards, laying his head gently on your chest as you hummed a random song. comfortable silence hung around in the setting sun. just as you were about to sleep, a tiny growl broke the silence. you looked down and saw soonyoung growling softly all while trying to hold back his laughter. you giggled and he joined, tears coming to his eyes from laughing too much. suddenly his expression became serious and he shot up, getting off of you and screaming "I got ice-cream but forgot to put it in the fridge." you laughed silently at his forgetfulness, your beginning to close on their own. in your half asleep consciousness you felt him back on top of you, holding your hand and humming your favorite song.

You thought getting dumped tonight was the first thing to ever happen to you. as you blasted your playlist of depressingly sad songs in your, you thought this day couldn't get any worse. that was until something jumped in front of your car to which you slammed the brakes, almost flying through the window had it not been for the seatbelt. groaning you stepped out, gasping as you found a person lying in front of the car, not moving. pulling out your phone, you panicked, "am I a murderer now? will I go to jail? should I call 911?" the last question was answered by the person on the road breathed out a faint "no". he stood up slowly, gingerly touching his side, wincing a little. you gasped when your headlights illuminated him, his shirt which you assumed was previously white was soaked red, blood dripping from the corner every time he took a step towards you, face covered in soot. you dropped your phone as he grabbed your hand pulling you into your car and inviting himself into the passenger seat, asking you to drive away as you heard fireworks behind away. he tensed up visibly at the fireworks which made you suspect they weren't exactly fireworks. as you drove away, the scenery bloomed red and orange, flames licking at the sky you looked around for your phone only to realize that you had dropped it back there and turned to get it. the man seemed to know what you were planning to do and grabbed the wheel. "you don't want to go back there trust me." maybe it was the look in his eyes but you didn't want to risk going back there and nodded driving straight to your apartment.
and this was the story of how you brought a stranger in your apartment, covered in blood 'not his' he confirmed all because you thought it was adorable when he suddenly got shy and stuttered something asking if he could stay at your place because he had nowhere else to go. After all, they burned down his house. who were 'they'? you didn't dare to ask. you ushered him into a spare room, urging him to take a shower. you were trying to make the place look presentable, throwing away the hundred coffee cups hiding in every corner when he called out from inside the shower. "do you have any..umm clothes that might fit me?"
and so here he was in your shower by the mirror.... shirtless because your ex's shirt was a bit too tight for him. you stood behind him, admiring the art which was..... " what's your name by the way?" he looked back with a grin. "mingyu, Kim mingyu" your breath got caught in your throat in the way the neon lights of your bathroom reflected on his smile, water dripping from the tips of his hair. "Y-YN" you stuttered, your eyes sweeping over his body in the mirror before stopping at the horrible bruise you didn't notice at first. the purplish skin covered most of his side and you were sure it was because of you hitting him with your car, a few hours before. you rushed inside without a word and grabbed him, inspecting the bruise. "that looks..... not all right" he shrugged. "doesn't hurt at all so it doesn't matter." you rolled your eyes and softly touched it causing him to yelp, flinching away from you. "yup doesn't hurt..." you muttered, walking to your fridge to get the icepack.
Mingyu was a more than decent "roommate" currently occupying your very uncomfortable couch, despite your innumerable complaints. he could cook, extremely well if you were being honest and had even gone clothes shopping, where you didn't know. you greeted him good morning before scrambling out the door and into your car, muttering about being late. it was a miracle you hadn't hit anyone...again as 15 mins later you were in front of the local library. you jogged in, wishing your "coworker" before taking the pile of books on the nearest table to put into their respective places. "you want a coffee?" Wonwoo, said coworker asked, already holding up a cup. realizing you forgot your morning cup, you gracefully accepted it, smiling in thanks. mornings weren't all that busy so you had a lot of time to slowly clean up around the place. Wonwoo seemed particularly distracted today, though he did usually have his head 'up in the clouds'. you called him to help you and you realized that he was limping slowly. "hey Wonwoo, you good?" he dismissed it off as a small accident at home. you nodded not having much to add to it. people were just starting to trickle in when a very familiar black-haired, tall person caught your eye. "mingyu what are you doing here?" he smiled softly and helped you with the book you had in your hand. you couldn't help the sudden warmth that overtook your heart. "had some business in this part of town and looked into the huge windows of the library, having spotted a particular beauty inside." you laughed, your cheeks slightly warm at the answer. "oh you should meet-" you turned around to introduce Wonwoo who was at the front desk merely two seconds before. "never mind" you muttered, grabbing your stuff and walking out the door, after writing a note that you were leaving.
Mingyu was acting a little stiff after picking you up from the library, practically following you around everywhere, and as much as you enjoyed it you had to kick him to the couch so you could fall asleep, not wanting to be late like today.
despite mingyu's various pleas to skip work today, you insisted not wanting to put all the work on poor Wonwoo. you even bought him a coffee along with yours to thank him. you found him bending over a table scattered with the heavy books from the history section. his fingers quickly fiddling with something. "what are you doin-" you paused as you got closer to the table and saw a phone in his hand, your phone to be precise apparent with the puppy phone case you bought. his eyes widened in shock as if he didn't expect you to be there. "I dropped it on the road.. how...why do you have it?" you stuttered placing the coffee cups down taking rushed steps backward as wonwoo's usual lazy smile turned into an ugly snarl, stalking towards you, you turned around to run but stopped when pain shot from the back of your head. you pressed your hand to your head, your fingers soaked red, turning back around to Wonwoo holding one of the books, you grabbed onto the table, your fingers staining the wood red. your eyesight started deteriorating, your knees giving out as you hit the floor and vision turned black, the pain in your head slowly throbbing away.
you woke up to a killer headache, along with a horrible neck strain, and slowly you realized you were sitting up. you opened your eyes, the smell of car oil frim the number of scrapped cars surrounding you making you cough. you tried to move, finding your hands and feet tied to a chair and your head bandaged up. footsteps interrupted the silence as Wonwoo walked over, fingertips dancing over the bandages. "so... why am I here?" you voiced out your thoughts, trying very hard to mask the fear in your voice. " you know mingyu I presume, seeing as your phone was found near his place. he disrupted a very important deal of mine, killed quite a huge number of my men including my right-hand men, and thought he could just go home, drink while reminiscing the screams MY men let out as he shot them." you tried to wrap your head over the new information dumped over you. "what are you talking about?" Wonwoo looked closely at you before his eyes widened, shoulders shaking as he laughed. " you don't know? Mingyu, the Kim Mingyu whom you're housing in your apartment right now is the leader of one of the most feared gangs here. he's quite a dangerous man indeed, known for ruthlessly killing off an alarmingly huge amount of people." you choked, you were sleeping two rooms away from a criminal, no a murderer, a crazed one at that. but still his name made your heart jump slightly. Wonwoo joyfully picked up a phone. "hello? … jumping right to the topic at hand are we? yup, she's here." he pulled the phone away from his ear, putting it on speakerphone. mingyu's voice lazily crackling at the bad reception wherever you are. "I've known her for what? three days barely. what makes you think ill come like prince charming to save her?" your mouth dropped, after everything you had done for him. you opened your mouth to berate him when Wonwoo raised his hand, slapping you across the face. you could manage only a broken yelp as mingyu sighed, "text me the address. ill come clean up the mess later." you sobbed, your cheek still stinging as mingyu hung up the phone. Wonwoo tsked, throwing the phone against the wall, shattering it into a thousand pieces. he grabbed your hair, pulling you towards him. "when I'm done with you he'll have to call a few others to clean up 'the mess'. he reached into his pocket, pulling out a gun. he pointed it at you "oh don't worry I won't give you an easy death." just as he pulled off the trigger, the previously unknown door blew open an SUV revving into the warehouse. before it even properly stopped, mingyu jumped out of it, sporting an expression that chilled your blood. he looked beyond angry, eyes cold as he trained his gun on Wonwoo. Wonwoo frowned dropping the gun and stepping back, his eyes never leaving the gun as mingyu rushed towards you, kicking the gun on the floor, far from the reach of anyone. he looked at you for a fleeting second before singlehandedly removing one of the bonds on your arm, his fingertips running across the skin below your bandages, his gun never pointing away from Wonwoo. you made quick work removing all the ropes, shaking your arms to bring blood back to your hands while mingyu exchanged some words, threats you decided inspecting the nervous look on wonwoo's face.
he looked at you, his rigid expression melting away as he hugged you. you were gonna thank him for saving you when your ears picked up the unmistakable tapping of footsteps, multiple footsteps. you both shared a look and mingyu swung around, grabbing Wonwoo and bringing his gun up, slamming the handle into the other man's temple causing him to crumble to the floor. he mouthed 'run' as a horde of men spilled into the warehouse, carrying a distinguished variety of weapons, from baseball bats to rifles. you swung on your heel as mingyu lurched forward, running as fast as your legs would allow you to. gunshots pinged off the concrete walls as your hand wrapped around the door handle.
pain shot up your side as you screamed, dropping to the floor. you sobbed as your hands clawed at your torn shirt, trying to stop the blinding pain. mingyu called your name but it sounded far away as your shaking hands came up drenched in blood. in the back of your head, you thought it was a miracle you hadn't been shot again. mingyu came up behind you, scooping you up in his arms and all but threw you into the car, jumping into the driver's seat and revved away, his eyes flitting to your barely conscious form next to him. he put his much larger hand on yours, slowly wrapping his fingers around your own as your eyes fell close, the pain slowly ebbing away.
your consciousness trickled back in only because of the rhythmic beeping which for some reason you couldn't stand. you opened your eyes, making eye contact with someone and you groaned causing the other person to jump. "oh you...you're awake" you rubbed your eyes focusing on the man in front of you. he smiled shyly. you tried to sit up, hissing as the skin at your side, stung. the man propping you up. "where am I?" you whispered, your throat scratchy. "headquarters, mingyu brought you in panic-stricken, screaming at us to help you. I think it's the first time in the 7 years I've known that he cried. we almost you for a second." you thanked him. "I'm jun" you smiled, slowly getting on your feet. you turned to ask about mingyu's whereabouts but he was already looking at you, adorning a wide smile. "straight then two rights, you'll find him moping on the balcony." roaming through the halls, you couldn't help but admire the artwork hung on the walls until you reached the balcony, finding the very person you were looking for sitting on a bench, his head in his hands.
you crept slowly towards him, putting your hand on his shoulder. mingyu whipped his head towards you, his eyes rimmed red. he got up and crushed you against him, his arms holding you tightly against his body. your hands picked at the bandages around his arm. "it just grazed me." he mumbled into your hair. you leaned back and smiled, suddenly aware of how close you were, his breath fanning your face. he smiled, eyes darting to your lips briefly. your smiles widened, hands around his neck as you pressed your lips to his. the fireworks in your heart were nothing compared to the euphoric feeling spreading through your body. you smiled into the kiss, only breaking away for air. you leaned into him, leaning your forehead against his, giggles erupting from the both of you. you looked into his eyes and for once in your life, you felt safe and at home.

Scenario:
Spending an evening outside, perhaps with people was just something you weren't feeling today, all thanks to this one video clip you had found online earlier that got your editor self excited to work with. However, there was a slight issue–the idol in the clip was actually your idol boyfriend's close friend, and your boyfriend just so happened to be staying in this evening too. Not sure about his reaction, you still decided to take it forward and not make your editing senses wait for too long, but was this hurry a good decision?

Not as often you would find yourself succumbed into a chain of thoughts produced from these gloomy remarks or assumptions, no matter how frequently you would find yourself surrounded by these negative words, being the publicly famed artist, performer and entertainer you are. But like any of it realistically mattered, you found yourself this one time, dizzy from these remarks, and no matter how hard you tried to keep them quiet, they just kept getting louder, eventually to the point where you had to reach out to your close friend and work mate, Niki, to help track you out of this daze. And maybe the starry night was too magical this time, for the words exchanged between you both weren't only of comfort, or remedies for the stardom issues– maybe it involved a lot more like realisations too.
Warnings: Nothing as such but lmk if you find any!

A/N: first off, I wanna start by saying that idols, matter of fact any artist, are humans too and should be treated like the same. This story incorporates this idea in parts too so I hope this helps deepen/strengthen some people's understanding of this while also being just a (hopefully) worthy read too! Secondly, writer block swallowed me (it sucks, trust me) aaaand hence the inactivity, but also this isn't quite how I wanted this story to turn out so I might rewrite this in the future :") hope you enjoy this!🖤
Recommendations: Listen to 'Mixed Up' by Enhypen while you're at it, it'll really be worth it💁♀️

It hadn't been long since the door to Niki's balcony had been slid open, his plan of refreshing his mood after a long tiring day in order to go back to sleep peacefully executing fairly well with a cup of hot tea he picked as his companion to admire the starry sky this quiet night, with only a few city lights shimmering at distance attempting to match the real shimmer that spread above. Yet soon enough, this lavender aroma was accompanied by a low vibrating noise from his pocket, to which the boy groaned questioning who it could be that would call him at this peculiar hour, giving in to

Scenario:
Going through your entire closet, you had already made a whirlpool out of your clothes looking for something, as you called it, 'fresh and good' to wear to your boyfriend's house. Your sulking only grew until a rather new clothing item caught your eye from the upper shelves of your closet you treated as your 'shrine of merch' of all your favourite artists you had collected throughout the years. It was a stray kids merch, one you were sure your boyfriend didn't know about, and finding it the perfect match to your pants too, you decided that this comfy beautiful outfit would not just get you to meet some fellow stays out in public, but also some reaction from your beloved.
Frosted Flames | Park Sunghoon
Type: Oneshot
Pairing: Park Sunghoon x Reader
Genre: Angst, supernatural powers, borderline sci fi
Summary: Turning eighteen; this didn't just mean you'd be a legal adult now. It also meant that your decade long questions, some unanswered, some unheard of, all would find their answers, for the big grand box from the attic which Uncle Paul always tells you about, could only be opened once you're eighteen. This wouldn't just feed your curiosity, it would also help you calm your fire. Yes, literal fire you could emit. But, big things never go as planned, do they? With a new face, rather seemingly familiar to you, and your best friend's remarks to your reaction to this face, it is quite evident that this day isn't just going to be a special day of revealing your life's motives, and with the grey toned clouds as a cherry on top, you would only have to wait for peace of mind longer, maybe receiving something, or–someone else instead.

A/N: I teared up a little while writing the ending tbh :') but I gave this a lot of energy so I hope this is a good read !!💞

The sound of the alarm never bothered you unless its repetition reaches a double digit number of times, which is, when it is absolutely required for you to leave the bed and rush to school with the remaining not-so-double digit number of minutes you had for school to begin. Yet, often before the time your phone buzzes to reach this number, you would bolt out of your sheets onto the floor, all thanks to the sparks that leave from your fingertips onto your skin to subconsciously wake you up.
You never asked for this life. Maybe as a child, supernatural powers did fascinate you, powers involving elements. But ever since one such element caused demolition in your life,
