Eventually you hit that point where youâre no longer interested in convincing people that how you feel and who you are is valid and decide that as long as you know your truth and what works for you, thatâs what matters.
healing is not an overnight process. wounds will reopen, wounds will close, but always allow yourself to feel what you feel. itâs okay.
8 things to quit in 2018: 1. trying to please everyone. 2. fearing change. 3. living in the past. 4. overthinking. 5. being afraid to be different. 8. sacrificing your happiness for others. 7. thinking youâre not good enough. 8. thinking you have no purpose.

Anytime youâre gonna grow, youâre gonna lose something. Youâre losing what youâre hanging onto to keep safe. Youâre losing habits that youâre comfortable with, youâre losing familiarity.

Do not âwait to get worseâ.
I donât care if youâve âbeen worseâ
Your body is tired of this.
You deserve help in this moment.
I needed this today, thanks.
At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can.

1. Try to listen to yourself, but silence your thoughts. As contradictory as that may sound, it can be done. Close your eyes for a minute everyday, and breathe. Does your chest feel heavier than usual? Are you fidgeting more than you used to? Are your thoughts dancing to songs you canât keep up with? And then breathe again. Release that weight on your chest, the anxiety being woven with your fingertips, blow away the clouds in your head. Release, and then do not welcome those things back. Just let go a little bit every day, until youâre free. 2. Go for a walk, for a run, for a glance, but go. See the sunlight making its way through the treetops, hitting your skin with bliss. And if there is no sunlight, make shapes out of clouds. Turn yourself back into a kid lying in the grass. Or if you see pure white, make an angel in the snow. If itâs raining, then dance. Youâll dry yourself later, and clothes are only material. Donât allow non living things to keep you from living. Discover the blessing that is feeling nature in such a raw way, embrace every weather and every day, and make the most out of it. Realize you are lucky for living in this world with magnificent beauty around every corner. Going out into nature is the greatest art show youâll ever experience, and it never gets old. 3. Do some yoga, lift some weights, move away from your couch. Five minutes, thirty, sixty. Use your body and realize you are lucky to have it. It keeps you alive everyday, despite how bad you may treat it sometimes. Thank it by making it stronger, by keeping its blood flowing. Do it to feel alive, because you love you, or at least you want to. 4. At every sunset, write something you did well that day. It does not have to be something huge, sometimes getting out of bed is as good as it gets. Did you compliment anybody? Were you a little kinder to yourself? Did you drink as much water as you needed? Write it down, and congratulate yourself for it. Sometimes the big things donât seem so big, but that does not make them meaningless. 5. Before closing your eyes, name three things you are thankful for. Not everybody has a family, or that best friend who has been there for them even when they were not very easy to love. If you are reading this, it means you probably have a roof over your head, internet connection, and have had access to an education. Thatâs much more than some people can say. So say thank you. Some things could be gone in the blink of an eye. 6. Finally, tell people how you feel about them. At any time of the day, any day. Say âI love youâ, âIâm sorryâ, and âI miss youâ. Scream at the top of your lungs and be big, be huge, fill the entire sky with honesty. Say anything that liberates you and will serve as light and water for personal growth. Keep the nasty words and think about why you want to say them. What you tell other people says more about you than it does about them. Do you want to be light, or do you want to be sickness? What can you do to radiate love? There is nothing stronger than being sensitive, vulnerable, fragile. Donât ever let this world ever make you afraid of being human.
