Poor Decisions, and.. Even More Questionable Ones
Tags: Frank Langdon x reader (no use of y/n), slight angst??, mostly just lighthearted fun
Warnings: kissing, neck kissing, nudity at one point but it doesn't describe it, nicknames like "hun" and "sweetheart", mentioned of patient death, Robby mention (yes I'm putting him as a warning, I like the man but he pisses me off sometimes 🧍♀️)
creator note: I thought of this last night and needed to write it down lmao, my friend and I stumbled across a video of like "what pitt characters would use for showering / skincare etc etc" and I sent it to her, we both agreed on Langdon's and I started thinking of this so here you go
2 patients died on our shift, Robby exploded on me mid-surgery, and now I was in Langdon’s apartment. How did I get here? I didn’t wanna be alone, and he lives alone, so he offered to let me stay the night.
When thinking of a professional stand on this, I should’ve said no. But I was thinking with my heart, not my mind. I didn’t feel safe enough to be alone after this shift.
“You listening?” he tilted his head, snapping me out of my thoughts.
I lifted my head and met his eyes that were filled with worry, and I gave a smile that didn’t quite meet my eyes.
“I’m alright, just thinking..” It was a poor excuse and I knew it, but he didn’t push. I always loved that about him.
“Hun, is this about Robby?” he questioned, throwing his arm behind the couch to rest on my shoulders. My heart flipped at the nickname, and I tried to school my face but he caught the smile that ghosted my lips.
“Uhh.. maybe. I just can’t stop thinking about what he said.” I sighed, leaning into his side. “I know he’s under a lot of pressure, but he doesn’t have to take it out on any of us, and- god, did you even see the way he’s been riding Al-Hashimi this past week?”
Frank’s hand rubbed my arm comfortingly, “I saw.” he murmured. He turned his head to watch me, before an idea popped into his mind. “Hey, you can throw a pillow at me if this is a bad idea, but I was thinking maybe we could do something to take your mind off things.”
“Uhh..” he paused, blowing a stream of air out of his mouth. “We could-”
“If you suggest anything I think you’re going to, I will slap you instead of throw a pillow.” I chuckled.
“No no, god no. We’re not to that point… yet,” he grinned while saying the last word, but he sounded unsure like he didn’t know if I felt the same.
I smiled and nodded, “Yet.” I confirmed.
I saw his face light up a bit, and he nodded. “Right, okay- anyway. My idea was that maybe we could take a shower, loosen up a bit.”
“What, like together?” I tilted my head.
I thought it over for a minute, before nodding. “Okay, sure.. But, hands to yourself.”
He perked up, taking my hand and kissed the back of it. “Promise.”
It took everything in him not to stare, but it was extremely hard. Once clothes hit the floor, he had to physically pry his eyes away to focus on his own. He was a respectful guy, and he was trying to hold up to that title.
“You’ve seen me before, Frank. I don’t care if you look.” I assured him, smiling to myself.
“Right, yeah..” he tilted his head back up, his heart jumping out of his chest all over again. You were beautiful.
Once we both got into the shower, the hot water hit his back first which caused him to tense a bit. I turned to face him, but he kept his eyes strictly on my face.
“You uhm.. You’re really pretty, you know that?” His smile looked a little lopsided from nerves.
“Just shut up already.” I chuckled, leaning up to kiss him and he gladly reciprocated, wrapping his arms around me to hug me close to his body. My hands looped around to the back of his head, one playing with his wet hair and the other on the back of his neck. He let out a satisfied hum against my lips, backing me up into the shower wall. His lips trailed down to my neck and I smiled, but my eyes caught sight of something.
I tapped his head, “Frank.”
He finally pulled back. “Did I do something?”
“What the fuck is that?” I pointed at the bottle.
“My… 5 in 1?” he tilted his head.
“Exactly.” I deadpanned, staring at him. “WHY do you use that??”
“Cause it works..? I don’t think-”
“Exactly, you don’t. Why don't you use separate things like a normal person??”
“Hun, are you seriously lecturing me over this?” he laughed.
“You’re so weird.” I groaned.
I rolled my eyes before he kissed me again, whispering, “Say it.”
He nipped my neck, and I gasped a little. “Say itt…?”
“I like you.” I finally gave in, which earned a satisfied smile from him when he pulled back.
"I like you too, sweetheart."
