[header ID: a picture of the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown from Doctor Who. Peri is holding a fan with a flowery pattern in front of her and is smiling at the viewer. she has short brown hair in a bob and is wearing a headband. her head is slightly tilted left, towards the Doctor next to her. the Doctor is looking at the viewer with an almost displeased look on his face. his body is facing Peri, and he is raising his back arm in the air. the Doctor has short blonde curly hair. he is wearing a multi coloured waistcoat, with a white shirt that has a red question mark on the collar, and a blue and white polka dot patterned cravat. behind them is a building /end ID]
[icon ID: a picture of Sergeant Benton from Doctor Who. he has short brown hair and is wearing a UNIT uniform, which is a green army jacket, paired with a red rope on his only visible shoulder, a white shirt, and a sort of grey ish coloured tie. he is taking his khaki beret off of his head as he looks up, with a distressed look on his face. there have been two swirls edited onto his face, the first one being coloured to match the aromantic flag, and the second one being coloured to match the asexual flag /end ID]

Bro why did you censor the snake's cloaca on the snake anatomy post??? It's a snake?
I didn't censor anything, what -
oh. Oh, no. That's meant to be a line to show where the tail begins. Oh no, now I look like some weird prude.
Yeah, that's meant to help people grasp the anatomy and visualize how small the tail is in relation to the torso. Not meant to be some kind of weird snake privacy screen
Hi white trans people on this website. Be it trans men, women or enben. Please remember that you have privilege and can easily be an oppresor. That's all I ask.
"cozy bookstore" "cozy cafe with a bookshelf" "omg imagine if there was a place you could just sit and read at" we have this its called the library. you guys want to go to the library. the two college libraries near me have cafes inside and they are open to the public. people need to go to the library
Sometimes i feel like younger queer kids are getting a bit to bold with openly talking to people they donât know In The Context Of:
More than once i have had a younger/same age queer person come up to me in public settings and say something about âfinding other gaysâ or clearly clocking me as nonbinary and Iâm like :)))))))) hey buddy Iâm here with my conservative parents can you fucking not out me :))))))))
Just say you like my outfit or hair and move on, fuck even tell me you like my shoelaces. Donât call me gay and limp your wrist at me when you donât even know me? Especially when thereâs a bunch of ppl around?
i was out with my ex once when three *very* young queer kids, like thirteen years old, came up to us and asked us âare you guys, you knowâŚâ and did the limp wrist thing at us. one of them loudly exclaimed that it was so cool to meet other queer people in real life. this was in public in an unbelievably conservative area - we didnât even feel safe holding hands because we were surrounded by Mormons. we got lucky that day, but Iâm begging yâall to remember that the world doesnât work like the internet. other queers are real fuckin people. donât do this shit. OP is right; tell me you like my jacket, or my patches, or the rainbow spokes on my wheelchair, but donât out either of us!
This used to be standard operating procedure not even ten years ago: NEVER OUT OTHER QUEERS, even if theyâre supposedly already out. Never assume that itâs okay to let third parties know that so-and-so is queer. Ever. You never know when youâve found the one uncle with the heart condition that they canât bear to risk telling, or the one neighbor whoâs just threatening enough that they donât mention it around, or even the grandma that they havenât gotten around to mentioning it to yet. You might have just ruined a very important milestone for someone, or you could have put them at actual risk of harm.
Also⌠stop freaking assuming. If you donât see a pride flag on them, please donât just assume. You canât tell ANYTHING about a personâs gender or partner preferences by what theyâre wearing on any given day, what their hair looks like, or whether or not theyâre using makeup. You legit cannot, and you look like a jerk when you try.
"Brain damage" only sounds like a harsh and offensive way to describe brain injuries because people constantly use it as an insult. It's a totally neutral descriptor of what it is. I have brain damage. My brain is damaged. It's not ableist to call it that, it's ableist to call people you don't like brain damaged because you think it's an inherently bad thing to be.
So because I used to work with a lot of young men, I've seen/read a lot of manosphere shit (genuinely I had to know what a sneako is for work) and read/watched a lot of opinion pieces on the manosphere.
Something I notice is, when men discuss the manosphere, they either centre the reason boys fall down that pipeline on some inner weakness or defectiveness of the boy, ie. "they're just autistic weirdos who want rules for women because they can't get their dick wet," or they centre the reason on women, "feminism had made women too woke, mean and impossible to socialise with."
What I noticed while working is that every single little Tate goblin I had to work with had conservative parents, and I have never once seen that aspect of all this discussed. Boys will reflect the social norms they are raised in within their household. The biggest preventative for manosphere bullshit I saw in the boys I worked with was a dad who isn't a fuckwit and a household that isn't LARPing the 1960s.
Blaming disabled people and women for shit men do instead of the men in the immediate vicinity with an active role in the situation seems to be a trend.
I would have my homeland invaded by the sea peoples. I would be lain siege to by the sea peoples. My cities would be sacked by the sea peoples. I would make bronze tools and pottery. My shores would be invaded by the mysterious sea peoples. I would be mustering my armies to fend off the sea peoples.
I actually think all fairies are fat, in their natural habitat. The Irish used iron horseshoes to protect their milk and butter stashes from fairies bc they love cream so much. Cream and berries and honey and ale, all day every day. If you see a skinny fairy she is underfed, give her some sugar water like you would a tired bumblebee đ°
