“I’m currently working on a project that I need five students for.” The small girl called out. She had created a new product and her professor told her she needed to do a test study to see just how well it would work in real life, and if it all went well, they would help her patent the item, and get the ball rolling for it. She turned to the person closest to her walking by. “It’s environmentally friendly, and I pay you ten bucks to do it.” She said hopefully.
nyx listened to the other girl speak, she was suspicious of the newcomers but something about this girl made her suspicion grow. “ what kind of project? ” she asks, regretting letting her stop her in the first place. there were enough strange things happening on the island she called home for so long, she’d grown wary easily. “ how do i know you’re not trying to kill us? this is how dozens of horror movies and actual murder sprees start out. ” she quirks her brow, lips pressed into a thin line and arms crossed in front of her chest.
“I need a break.” Iridessa was out of breath, going to grab a water bottle out of her bag. “I’m exhausted. I don’t know how you do that.” When Nyx had agreed to teach her how to fight, she didn’t realize how exhausting it would be.Which, in hindsight, seemed ridiculous. Why wouldn’t it be? It was a lot of moving around, of course it’d be exhausting. “I am really thankful that you’re teaching me though, even if I’m really not the best.” @seriouslynyx
nyx nods, “ a quick ten sound good? ” she asks, rolling her shoulders and neck to relax for a moment. “ oh, you get used to it. ” she shrugs, “ we’ll work on your stamina next and you’ll be able to actually keep up with me. ” she half teases, bumping her hip against the other girl’s. if she could teach all of her friends to fight, nyx liked to think she’d be able to relax more but that would be a lie. she was glad iridessa took her up on the offer though, this was fun for her. “ please, it’s not about being the best. it’s about knowing how to defend yourself. ” she assures her, grabbing her duffle bag. “ hungry? i have some snacks. ”
Get to know NICOLE “NYX” SCOUT who’s NINETEEN years old and a FRESHMAN in college majoring in CRIMINAL JUSTICE. She is from CORONA and is oftentimes mistaken for SIVAN ALYRA ROSE while others say she reminds them of NYX from DISNEY FAIRIES.
BASICS.
nicole was born at 25 weeks, with her heart and lungs underdeveloped she wasn't expected to make it out of the nicu. she was very sick growing up but looking at her now, you wouldn't know it.
she heard stories about how she wasn't expected to live and uses that to push herself. she feels she was meant to live for a reason and doesn't want to waste her life away.
she's very independent. she was born to a single mom who worked two jobs to make ends meet. as a result, nyx did a lot of raising herself.
her mother never had the best taste in men and ever since she was little, nyx developed a tough outer shell to protect herself. after seeing her mother hurt so many times, she didn't want to be like her. it takes a lot of work to get to know her.
she's an only child and likes it that way. she looks at the rest of the 'fairy squad' as her sisters and feels the need to protect them because they're the only family she has. she wants nothing but the best for them and to keep them out of trouble.
she's not very spontaneous and likes to have a plan and stick to it. nyx feels most comfortable that way.
she works as a tour guide at the cave of wonders museum. nyx is a big history nerd and very much enjoys it. if you're rude during her tours, she will embarrass you in front of everyone.
nyx is studying criminal justice so she can become a detective.
nicole doesn't trust anyone so, naturally, she's wary of newcomers. she doesn't make an effort to go out of her way to befriend them. she tries to stick to her own crew because she knows and trusts them.
