is that SIRIUS BLACK we can see entering the ministry of magic? our records tell us that they were born on 03 NOVEMBER and are a 19 years old, PURE BLOOD who currently works as a HIT WIZARD. some have said that they can be described as being LOYAL, CHARMING & INTELLIGENT, however, they also see themselves as being ARROGANT, REBELLIOUS & IMPULSIVE. apparently, HE looks a lot like MAXENCE DANET FAUVEL, whoever that is, and if they had to pick a side in the war, they would choose to JOIN THE ORDER.
full name: sirius black.
name origin: the name sirius is of ancient greek origin and it means “burning brightly”, “glowing”, “brightest star”. from the latin origin it means “burning”. whilst black is simply of scottish origin.
sirius himself doesn’t really care much for the origin of his name, so any of the stuff above? yea like hell he knows any of that.
nicknames: padfoot by remus, james, peter and lily. besides that he doesn’t really have any nicknames, but sirius would very happily accept any that others come up with. thinks they’re pretty fun.

although sirius doesn’t really look into astrology, he does think it’s kinda fuckin’ cool. like he thinks it’s weird, but he think it’s weird in like a funky interesting way.
sexuality: bisexual as hell.
he’s pretty much always been aware of it too, he’s never done anything to hide it much either. rather be who he is and knows he is than stay hidden.
relationship status: single as hell. like seriously, who would want to get stuck with this idiot?
that said, he’s happy to see whatever comes along.
patronus: mongrel dog. intelligent, friendly and warm natured but with a bite just as bad as their bark. they’re the perfect partner.
boggart: himself. but he’s different. cloaked in the dark, masked like the enemies. eyes so dark you can’t see the soul, life sucked out of him. a true representation of a black family member, and what he never wants to be.
wand type: 11″, cypress, quetzalcoatl feathers and scale.
occupation: hit wizard at the ministry of magic.
for a while he considered becoming an auror, but after reflecting for probably too long in what the hell he wanted to do, he ended up going this way instead and working with auror’s just more hands on.
affiliation: the order & the marauders.
key information / biography: you can find all of that right here! and his profile is also here!
“What a grand suggestion, darling. I think perhaps it will even catch on, but I doubt I should be responsible for half our community’s back problems, so perhaps I should just shrink you a bit, yeah? I think it’s a win-win really.” She grinned, facetious in her intent and the inclination of her voice as she turned her head back to him again. The surroundings were otherwise tiring. “You’re a fine little angel.” Her body slumped, wrinkling the ridiculous dress and feeling that separation again, how disengaged she was from this world. It was a shock she even worked within the Ministry to begin with, but that was never good enough for her parents in the end - not the right position. That was a bitter taste in her mouth, and with downturned lip she didn’t think the burn of alcohol would even cover it anymore. “Yeah,” she started, placing the glass back down, ‘yeah you’re very much right, Black. Let’s leave a message for our lot and they’ll figure out where to find us when they catch on. I’ll charm it over to Lils first.” She was barely thinking, as she already tore a cloth napkin and withdrew her wand, letting some Charm for secret ink secrete to the paper before turning back up to the boy. “And my floo connection’s been disrupted, so you shouldn’t apparate out either. You’ll be trapped with me, darling. Just so you know.”
sirius liked to think he knew marlene well enough now, and the shift in tone, thought maybe, he could feel. was it not the same for him? the longer he stayed here, surrounded by people that could only hope for the worst to occur to himself and anyone close to him. well, the quicker he wanted out. the feeling of eyes of him would eventually burn, threaten to pull him apart for their own convivence. so he finished his own drink easily and tugged slightly at his tie, loosening the offending article. “sounds like a plan, sure they’ll work it out,” he hummed in agreement as he watched marlene for a moment. “ah, but you say that as if being trapped with you wouldn’t be a grand old time.” he chuckled, arm wrapping loosely around her waist as sirius began to steer them out of the crowd at least. his could feel the craving of a smoke now too, fingers itching for something to do. “what even happened to your floo connection?”
head pounding, maybe just a little bit too fucking loud for the morning— god, was it even fucking morning anymore? he’d lost track of time at some point, but that was far from the focus now as he shoved his way into one of quieter cafes in diagon alley at this time. so long as they did decent coffee, that was all he needed before he went back to work later. that said, last thing he expected when he turned away from the counter after handing over the galleons for his money.. was to come face to face with his brother behind him.
well fuck.
“so.. the only family that i don’t speak to at the gala i see when i’m hungover instead?“ he mused quietly, surprised still. but there wasn’t bite or snark in his tone like there was with his cousin. “strange world, huh reg?“ so fuck it. he might need more than just a coffee after this.
“not a lot of to talk about when you’re pregnant at a ministry event,” molly mused as she plopped herself down next to sirius. “everyone’s either sloshed or on their way to become sloshed,” she noted, making herself comfortable. “and that’s including my husband.”
~
realising it was molly, sirius grinned, laughing quietly at her response. “well that includes me too,” he hummed, “nothing much better to do at a ministry event, is there?” but still, he set the glass down and turned in his seat more properly to the woman. “assuming your night has probably just been getting the same questions, i feel like i shouldn’t ask how the pregnancy is going and all that shit you probably here a thousand time. that said, the kids doing alright? hopefully not causing you too much trouble?”
“sometimes, okay, you’re one of the better order members that don’t know everything like your other friends.” he was rambling, really he was, he should shut up and listen to his original words. but caradoc was never quite good at that. maybe that was what got him into trouble several months ago. “listen black, i hate to break it to your tiny little heart, but i am also avoiding members of your family, perhaps they have been involved with this….” he says rambling indicating to the marks underneath his jacket on one side only enough for sirius to see. “and this.” he says indicating to the other side. was there any part of him that bellatrix black (lestrange) hasn’t tainted yet? probably not. he wraps his suit coat around his body once more. his arms for once not grabbing the dark firewhisky bottle. “and yes, i do you like you more than others because you don’t ask questions. you just put two and two together. don’t make me regret this.” he lets his voice trail off as he watches the other couples mix and mingle, god, the couple life was greatly not meant for him. “i get only one of your friend knows why i’m apart of what it is you’re apart of but clearly we have to keep talking to each other to avoid talking to those that we don’t want to talk to and if you figure out who it is i am avoiding in your family, i will rip you to shreds when i’m unconscious about it. got it? got it.” he says taking another long swig of his good ole’ firewhisky.
~
“know everything-- you know, i won’t question it actually.“ drinking made people talk, but he wasn’t going to press on something that sirius honestly had no idea about, not exactly his business right now and the drink probaly wasn’t going to help. so he’d listen still, brow raised as caradoc continued speaking. “okay first, how is it even breaking my heart? we should all be fucking avoiding them,“ but he sighed a little seeing the marks, mood sobering up a little. “doesn’t surprise me there. they have a way of leaving their mark on you.“ he had his own scars anymore, more than cared to count but mostly from his mother over anything else. but still, the black family never let anyone go unscathed. “hm, i’d almost take that as if you were calling me smart. but don’t worry, i’m not the type to pry and i understand enough. we’re just here to drink and ignore the ones we don’t want to see tonight, right?” and well, it was probably one of the only and few times that sirius could be decent enough to keep his mouth shut on it. that said— “okay, threat noted. also rude. already said i’m not gonna pry, so even if i did work it out,“ honestly probably wouldn’t be that hard to do give his family, “i’ll keep it to myself.“
a favour. is that what the kids were calling “making someone out to be the black sheep of the family” these days? “i guess,” ted said, smiling a little. “feels like she did me the favour sometimes. maybe it goes both ways.” he shook his head at his question. “i have not and i am dreading the moment i am. she’s never liked me–what with me being a muggleborn and all that–but it’s been a whole new world since i stole drom away.” he finished his drink along with sirius, slamming the glass down maybe a touch harder than he should’ve. he made an apologetic face to the bartender as he motioned for another round for the two of them. “you should visit more,” ted agreed, knocking sirius’s shoulder with his own. “andromeda misses you like hell. so do i, but of course you’re her blood. and ‘course dora would love to see her uncle sirius as well.”
~
“i mean, isn’t that probably how marriage and love and all that shit is supposed to go, mate? less in a favour sense i guess, but giving each other what they need or something like that?“ sirius sighed a little, nodding in understanding as he went back to his drink rather than scanning the room for angry cousins and what not. “unsurprising, i guess. doesn’t make it any better, but she’s always hated me too, probably. even before exiling myself, pretty sure she’s always have a sour spot with me.“ he finished his own glass at the same time as ted hen, though he had to raise a brow at the forcefulness of the glass slamming. he understood though. “well i’ll be free sometime this week, so i could stop by for dinner or something?“ the mention of his niece had him grinning a little. “i feel like she was tiny last time i saw her. right, i’ll make a habit of stopping by more, promise. free time is just a little difficult right now with work and everything. not had much down time recently.“
“It’s nice to see that dear old Celestina is still going after all this time,” Narcissa begun, taking a sip from her champagne flute as she glanced across a board with the Gala’s schedule of events. Despite the not so savoury company these things tended to attract, she had been looking forward to the Gala. If nothing else, it was an excuse to get dressed up and catch up with those she hadn’t seen in some time. “Surely the Ministry could have gotten someone a little more this decade though, don’t you think?” She asked, glancing over at the person who had come to stand at her side.
~
sirius had to contemplate for a moment if it was worth just walking away after realising who he’d just happened to stroll up to. but then again, fuck it apparently. this nearly completed his accidental family round, didn’t it? wasn’t like he’d be staying much longer anyway. “given how old the minister probably is, hardly surprising that it’s someone most of us don’t give a shit about. probably his favourite singer or something.” sirius shrugged, gaze moving from his dear cousin and over to celestina, happily performing away for them all. but then it was back to the other, raising his own glass slightly in a mock greeting, “anyway. evening, narcissa. enjoying yourself? surely you love these events, but they leave a sour taste in mouth, i have to say. drink is good though, only decent part.”
“Well it was either you or Bellatrix, and I much prefer your company Sirius dear.” Alice mused, a little smirk on her face as she looked at him. Of course, she probably would have preferred different company. But Sirius was really not that bad, and she’d take his company over Bellatrix’s any time of the day. She didn’t have to worry about Sirius wanting to kill her after all. “Enjoying yourself?” She asked, the smirk still present on her lips. “Aren’t ministry galas thrilling?”
~
“bloody hell, that choice is a no brainer then. and the best thing is i’ve already had to deal with her, so there’s no chance of her coming back over here to bother us.“ not that he had any idea where his cousin had headed off too, but one run in one enough to last him a lifetime. but either way, alice was welcome company, he didn’t get to catch up with her too much. “oh they are incredibly exciting. the atmosphere is to die for, literally.“ sirius chuckled, “have you been having a good night at least?“
“I quite like being taller, even if its…like artificial or whatever.” She grinned, ignoring the discomfort of the shoe for now. It was followed by a side-eye and a sly smirk. “If I wanted to savor it, I’d take a picture darling.” It was all a little too formal, it brought back memories of all the other times she’d sat through this. ‘Sat’ being a understatement. From a young age, she’d find ways to sneak off from well-behaved siblings and parents. It usually lead to some embarrassment but never on her part. Marlene could not bring herself to feel shame over the roles she was forced into. “You really are an angel in disguise, darling. However, I’m starting to just think we grab our lot and go.” The familiar twinkle of mischief took to her expression. “Pubs are still open and if not, I don’t mind my own flat being loud.”
“so should i just start kneeling when i’m beside you then, give you that artificial height out with the heels?“ he teased easily, leaning against the bar beside her. “you know it’s not a bad idea.“ a picture could at least prove he could clean up decently enough. like the other and probably most of the people in the room, sirius himself had far too many memories of being forced into far too formal occasions and attire. made to hang around events he had no interest or care in. he’d try and get regulus come with him and get away from it, but usually he just ended stuck there with the family still. now, sirius couldn’t imagine going back to that state. “i think you alone are the only one to consider me an angel of any means, but ain’t that nice to hear. and an ever better idea. pretty sure by now we’ve all outstayed our welcome anyway, right?“ the suggestion of leaving was enough for sirius anyway. the atmosphere of a pub or marlene’s flat would be far better than this ever could be. “if we go back to yours them i’m crashing there, not gonna trust myself to get home soon enough.“
“listen, we’re all desperate at this place if we’re still here.” he says holding the darker bottle in his hands as he rests it on the table and his arms dangling on the side. how many firewhisky’s had caradoc had already? to be honest drunk caradoc was not far off from his normal self. he had joined the order not too long ago all because of his other friend… what was his name? lupin? shut up– of course he knows who he was. “we’re all just for the free drinks. though, actually maybe i do like your company some what, okay i’m going to take another swig of my drink now and maybe it will get me to shut up for a while.” he says taking yet another long swig of his drink before putting it back down on the table. “anyways, how have you been?”
~
“ah ha, so you do like my company then,“ he grinned, laughing quietly, “but you’re entirely right about how desperate we all are and the free alcohol. guarantee i wouldn’t have convinced myself to come otherwise.“ sirius couldn’t say he knew caradoc all that well, but what better time than the present to fix that? getting drunk on only the ministry's finest firewhisky and all. “where’s the fun in that though? if you shut up then it means i need to lead the conversation all by myself, and who knows what shit i’ll start saying then. but i’ve been good. decent. you know as good as we can be, anyway.“ his fingers tapped gently against the bottle in hand then as he glanced around the room once more. “i’ve also been having a great time avoiding the family. i swear they multiply every time i see them.“ or dealing with them just felt like it was getting harder and harder.
“I suppose,” The witch muttered to herself, knowing the feeling was relatively mutual. But it was apart of her upbringing to push through the unsavory actions of socializing with those unworthy witches and wizards. Out of all her family members, Sirius was the one she often butted heads with the most given their very drastic personalities. Bella never understood why he felt the need to go against his parents wishes and try to be anything but the perfect heir to the family, it was what they were born to do. But instead he decided to choose his friends over blood, leaving the embarrassment to the rest of them for having such a failure related to them. “Could’ve fooled me, from what I’ve gathered you all move as a unit thriving off one brain cell,” She responded with a shrug, while she liked to poke fun at all four boys, she knew it was the easiest way to get on his nerves. That Gryffindor loyalty to his friends was pretty obvious. “Oh I was only getting started, dear sweet cousin.”
~
sirius had never seen himself need to justify his decision to his family. never seen it as something that should be so obscure to them that they couldn’t understand it. it was simple, really. why should he had to live a life under barbaric pureblooded ideals that was only going to lead to further disaster and suffering. he’d rather be anything but his family, and that was why it was his own choice to fully break away from them all. to exile himself, really. he might have lost an entire part of his life, but it left more bad than good behind in the end. either way, none of that changed that he’d still have to deal with his wonderful cousin for the next while, and with that thought in mind, he tipped back his glass to finish off the remainder of the alcohol. “one braincell is all you’ll give us, really?” he sneered, “you should give us more credit, we know how to hold our own alone easily.” he raised a hand to order another drink then. “then by all means bella darling, continue on. give me your worst so we can get this cousinly conflict over with quicker.”
Marlene turned herself towards the boy, familiar sense finally washing over her. Something relaxing at least in the familiar that unclenched her jaw so slightly. “Come on then, I know you’re just worried that I’m the same height as you in heels. Don’t mean to ruin your confidence, darling, but maybe you should work on that for yourself.” She took the drink with an odd sense of grace, a residual effect of the dress she assumed, and immediately let herself imbibe. “Not watered down at least, and thank you darling,” She shifted again, letting herself lean with her back against the marble, observing the stupidly formal antics about her. “And you look lovely yourself, too bad I won’t be around to see it much longer. I plan on taking a late night broom ride for myself the moment no one is looking this way.”
"oh come on now, i’m not so awful that i’d actually care if you were my height, so i think i’ll keep my confidence how it is, marls.” he grinned a little easier, sipping his drink quietly as he glanced over at her. “glad it’s up to your standards.“ and wasn’t like sirius would settle for anything other than the proper thing. with the intention of drinking enough to get through the night easily, he didn’t need anything less. “looks like you’ll have to savor it while it lasts then, because as soon as this is over i’m never putting a suit on again,“ until he had to, anyway. “if you need a distraction to slip out, let me know. it’ll probably give me a reason to leave as well— or be escorted out, which could be fun.“
“i fully know. try being the one to alienate andromeda black from the rest of her family. present company excluded, of course,” ted said, taking a sip of his drink. “bellatrix might as well go ahead and cast whatever unforgivable curse she’s thinking of casting on me now if she’s going to keep looking at me the way she is now.” he glanced across the room to see daggers being thrown their way by the woman, quickly averting his eyes. “listen. we’re family, we’re talking, there you go. family business taken care of.”
~
“fair point. still, you did her a fucking favour, ted.“ and even sirius knew the other male was going to be a hell of a lot better than any death eater that andromeda would’ve been set up with otherwise. but his attention drew across the room, catching sight of his cousin in question and smirking a little. “now wouldn’t that be a scene if she did. have you been subjected to her company yet?“ he took another drink, letting the burn warm his throat as he finished off the remainder. “smart, i like it. and i mean, you and andromeda are the only family i care about seeing tonight. how are you and her, by the way? getting by? i feel like i should visit more.“
“what, i can’t say hello to my dear cousin-in-law?” ted mused, mirroring sirius by taking a sip of his own drink. he didn’t know sirius very well, but andromeda sang his praises to ted, so how could he not have a soft spot for the boy? “besides, i wanted to check on you. i know this sort of thing isn’t quite your scene.”
~
sirius hadn’t expected ted to be the new company, but grinned gently. he didn’t know the other all that much, but there was never a better time to talk it seemed. “oh you can, but my point still stands. i just bring trouble,” or most people would say that. “andi tell you that? but you’re right, far from my scene and yet here i am. just not the best at the whole formal shit and well— family business. not too fond of navigating a room like a maze to avoid people that hate me, you know?”
Situated near the food, Isabella stands in a gown made of velvet with gothic detail; a bit stodgy, maybe a tad too formal given the reception but she suits it and how could she not when everyone within the Gala had an inkling of what she was. It’d be unlike her not play up to it. A smile curls as she reaches a pale hand out to grab another eclair to add to her small plate in hand, a careful selection of finger food stacked one on top of another. She nibbles contentedly, catching the eye of anyone who stares too long as though it were a game. “ It’s a crime they aren’t enjoying the food here as much as they should, these are so good. ” Her nose wrinkles with her smile at the one standing near, “ between you and me, ” she lowers her voice into a conspiratorial whisper, her smile still on face, “ I think you’re scaring them away. ”
~
the stares were common at this point, or something that sirius himself was used to. he stood out like a sore thumb without even trying that hard— and he did try. but when you’ve been branded a blood traitor and disowned by your own family, it tends to lead to unwanted attention, and tonight was full of that for sirius. so much so that even the ones around him seemed to have noticed. “well that is the plan, i have to say. the more i scare them, the less i have to interact with them,” he smirked gently, taking her lead even and picking up his own eclair to enjoy. “you’re right though, these are definitely something to enjoy.”
