After sending the text, Virus couldn't help but muse aloud to himself about the contents of his "gift".

Once he let everything he was told upon arrival sink in — the fact that he suddenly found himself in some weird city, that he was expected to get used to life as a test subject in here, and everything else he didn’t bother to remember — the first thing Trip instinctively thought to himself was ‘Where is Virus?’

Sure, he did think that his current situation sucked, but what made it suck even more was how it meant that he was separated from his older lookalike. After all, the two have been together for so long it’s like they weren’t separate beings anymore. Being apart from Virus made Trip feel bereft.

Trip didn’t want to think about maybe never seeing him again.

He didn’t mix well with strangers that much either; it reminded him of how he used to be in the past. Always picking fights with people, deeming them unworthy of his attention. Virus had been the only person who felt different to be around. That said a lot — if he wasn’t special, Trip wouldn’t have stuck with him for a dozen years. Hell, he wouldn’t even have looked like how he did now.

Sighing loudly, Trip opted for walking aimlessly around the district he’s been assigned to. It was way too…something for his tastes. He wasn’t used to these kinds of places. Actually, this entire city felt so foreign to him, and he didn’t like it one bit. Maybe if there were people he knew, he wouldn’t be as bitter about being forced to stay here. But since he just got here there was no way of knowing if anyone from Midorijima had found themselves in the same predicament as him.

Ah…not having Virus around was probably already getting to him hard. Trip was probably seeing things, since someone just ahead looked just like him from behind. But…at this point he wasn’t going to let any possibilities slip. Having nothing else to lose, Trip strode over to the person and put a hand on their shoulder, lightly turning them around to take a better look at their face. Maybe it really is 

"Virus—"

The probability that he would have encountered Trip here was slim to none in his opinion. Though in their history he was always the one followed, chased after, he found that he desired to find his counterpart by any means. However, it had been days now and he had traversed this city a number of times within that time frame. Only to come up empty each and every day. It wasn't as if he particularly missed Trip -- how could he miss someone who followed him around like a puppy?

But he couldn't likewise deny that without him, things felt off balance. They had become so accustomed to one another that Virus could swear he still saw him when he looked to his side. Maybe he had grown more attached than he cared to realize or admit, or perhaps he was thinking too much on it. He cleared his mind, walking along the Zeta district as he was heading home. Occasionally, he would glance at Hersha, glad that he was able to retain this much. Though, he had no idea that his snake allmate could get so dirty slithering around like that, he would have to see about cleaning it but  couldn't be bothered to do it himself.

Just as he thought to call for his allmate, he was surprised (briefly) when a strong grip forced him to turn. 

❝Trip.❞

It wasn't a question or a relief, it was a simple call of his name. When Virus turned to face his cohort, he could only look him over once or twice. He still appeared the same, but was he really here? This city was strange enough as it is -- appearing modern but not advanced like back on the island. It was a slight potential, but this could really just be a trick, and Virus wasn't about to rule that out.

At least not until he --

❝Oh.❞

❝You're back.❞

Pausing briefly, Virus soon removed his hand, adjusting his glasses for a thoughtful moment. Could he confirm Trip's presence with just that much? He supposed he had little else to go on unless Verta too showed up somewhere like Virus' snake slithering about in the grass around them. His brows furrowed in contemplation prior to glancing up once more, blinking a few times and watching the taller pseudo blonde carefully, as if he would disappear should Virus stare at him enough.

❝Hm...you're late, it's been a few days already however...welcome back, Trip.❞

You're asking someone who only has a Bad End in Nitro+Chiral's boys love game DRAMAtical Murder, but Virus guesses he might as well answer this instead of throw it away. He has nothing better to do (LIKE AOBA) after all, and Trip isn't even here yet. Now, what was the best way to go about this?
