He felt a shift in the room as some of the patronsā gaze moved to someone who had just arrived, that guest being the woman heād been waiting for. Her hand moved to rest on his shoulder blade and the vampire turned around to face her, a polite smile on his face, one that he used with the customers.
āDid you walk all the way here, dove?ā Damien asked as he helped her remove her winter clothes,Ā āIām pleased that you made it, and in this weather no less.ā He handed her belongings to a passing waiter as the some of the guests eyed them curiously, wondering if she was some VIP.Ā
āYes, the surprise,ā he nodded, remembering what she asked of him,Ā āLike I said, Iām terrible with these things,ā he said in self-depreciating humor before leading her away from the crowd, āshall we?ā Ā
The cellar was the best part of The Bacchanalia, the tree root chandelier often left his guests in awe. While it was mostly open for events and private gatherings, Damien opted to use it for tonightās dinner event with the intriguing woman. It was a banquet downstairs with food laid out on the table from various countries that it was enough to feed the people upstairs. Some were popular dishes while others were lesser known, each one carefully paired with certain alcohol in advance.
āSo you said you were famished?ā
A small but half chuckle left Seshaās lips at his first remark upon seeing her, but in response she gave a light nod. Last thing the shape shifter wanted was a grand entrance with an introduction in front the people the male had found himself with tonight. āIāve contemplated about coming here, to be honest.ā She told the male as he helped her out of her heavy coat. āIf it gets colder out there, iām afraid iāll want to stay in for the rest of the night, I hope you donāt mind. Iām sure you have other ladies needing your companionship.ā The brunette teased, watching the male as he now lead her downstairs.
āIām sure you canāt be that bad,ā Sesha added.
Upon entering what was to be the cellar of the Bacchanalia, Seshaās dark eyes took in inch by inch of her new surrounding. The lighting, the colour of the walls, even the magnificent chandelier handing from the ceiling. Oh how she had wish to shift and just slitter up there to take in the few from above.
Before another word was able to leave the brunetteās lip her eyes now catching the sight of the various dishes laid out on the table, her nostrils overwhelmed with the smell only intensifying her hunger. Taking another step so she was now shoulder to shoulder with the male, a small smile on her face, āstarving.ā Sesha responded as she looked over at the male, āhow about a nice glass of wine first, before we dig in?ā She asked, arching a brow as the male, before shifting in her spot her front now facing his side. Lifting a hand up she ran it down his forearm.
