My middle school had a lot of Latino kids with disciplinary actions, tardy issues, attendance\ skipping classes, and failing classes, so the parents made a Latina Moms support group where a bunch of the moms come in 3-4 days a week and help support and check in with the Latino/ELL students with an incentive activity every Monday. By the end of the year, the group had increased the target group’s grades by a massive percentage, averaging at least 2 full letter grade increase, and less than 5% failed any of their classes.
