I can’t believe humans canonically evolve into fat salamanders in Star Trek
Ok guys, I really really like the Star Trek: Picard trailer. Especially, I love Seven’s cameo. I love how she seems to have changed through the years and how she seems to be closer to her human side. I find it very inspiring tbh. So, I decided to make an aesthetic for her.
I hope you’ll like it!

On September 11th, 2001 this was the view from the international space station
A sand pendulum that creates a beautiful pattern only by its movement.
But why does the ellipse change shape?
The pattern gets smaller because energy is not conserved (and in fact decreases) in the system. The mass in the pendulum gets smaller and the center of mass lowers as a function of time. Easy as that, an amazing pattern arises through the laws of physics.

Marie Vassilieff (1884-1957) was a Russian painter, part of the Montparnasse artistic community of Paris at the beginning of the 20th century. She worked mostly in the Cubist style.
In 1908 she founded the Russian Academy in Paris, which later bore her name. In addition to her art, she is also known for the canteen she ran before and during World War I, providing not only very cheap meals, but a place of gathering for the artistic community.
