Sneak peek on whatchu working on :3 đđđđ
me when i realized this ask was sitting in my drafts the whole time (almost 3 months đ) instead of posted last year like I thought I did:
but also tysm for the ask!đ¤đđ (apologies for the slow response; life got busier than i thought it would be đŞ ) here are some ideas that my brain's been brewing over since i started watching dino/cosmic fury:
merry yaoimas and happy new yuri
some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, âwhatâs the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?â and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is âunofficialâ, and we know thatâs not the right word, but itâs the only word we can come up withâŚuntil finally itâs like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is âartificialâ.
I couldn't remember the word "doorknob" ten minutes ago.
ok but the onelook thesaurus will save your life, i literally could not live without this website

REBLOGGING TO SAVE ANOTHER WRITERS LIFE
I use this every time I sit down to write. It's the best tool in the world and I would be lost without it!
Welcome to TokuShipping Week!
Are you a fan of Tokusatsu? Do you have a favorite series or movie? Do you love a particular ship and just needed the perfect excuse to talk about it?
This is the first edition of the event, created so fans from any franchise, any country, and any language can join in.
The celebration will run from February 9 to February 15. For seven days, youâll be able to share your work dedicated to the Tokusatsu ship you adore.
What franchises are allowed? If it counts as Tokusatsu, whether from Japan or anywhere else, whether an adaptation, a movie, or a series, you are welcome to participate.
If you have questions, you can check the event information here: https://tokushipping.carrd.co
I hope youâll join us!
sorry i didnât text back or post for two months i was busy dramatically thinking about my writing instead of actually writing
try a few YEARS đđ
to the small few that have read my btr story/had left me asks in my inbox: i would like to formally apologize for lurking instead of responding. i yearn for my tumblr page to be properly tagged and organized, but the task seem so daunting and overwhelming that it psychs me out from posting đ (that and anxiety is a bitch but alas đ¤ˇ). the amount of empty reblogs that are just sitting in my drafts, because i want to tag them but my brain is unsure of how to... you should guess try and guess the number. it's actually wild.
for the record: i HAVE NOT stopped thinking about the stories i want to write! it's crazy how long one can ruminate on ideas before actually gaining the brainpower and words to write them đ¤Ż. i say this to say that life update: i've started writing again! yippee! đđ *cue celebratory ollie*
i've made some progress on my current published project, as well as some others that have been simmering in the google docs for a while now. i will always love my girl, lucy stone, but power rangers (specifically dino/cosmic fury) has had A GRIP on me lately. while i can't say whether or not I'll be posting new chapter/new fic anytime soon, i hope you stick around for what's to come!
âi never see you at the clubâ ok well i never see you on ao3 at 2am reading about the same two bitches falling in love for the 1000th time in the 500th way
you know what? fuck it *reads the fanfic I spent hours writing for my own enjoyment*
if youâre not rereading your own 3yo one-shots every once in a while so you can shake your head at the ao3 tab and mutter god iâm fucking funny then what are we even doing all this work for?
Look at us a couple of teenagers tearaways #weyler @justwangdraw
An alternate ending for season 2, amazing illustration; I hope we get a scene like this in season 3.

my fave writing reminder
honestly, this phrase has been on my mind more times than i can count. i've kidnapped it, taken it as a hostage with no ransom money because i need it to live permanently in my head.
This works for everything by the way - school work, university assignments, resignation letters, fanfics, original novels. Everything.

Maomao: If I had a nickel for every beautiful noble with purple hair, surprisingly attractive bodies, eccentric personalities and deep parental issues, who are pretending to be someone way below their class, who gave me hair ties and are deeply in love with me I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it is weird that it happened twice.
i get that americans love their cultural imperialism, but it really does piss me off that june is âinternationalâ pride month just because something happened in the united states.
in aotearoa, june isnât our pride, itâs theirs. marsha p johnson and sylvia rivera are their historical figures, not ours. the phrase that âyou owe your rights to Black trans womenâ is true there, but here we owe our rights to (mostly) MÄori historical figures. i have the freedoms i do because of the legacy of an entirely different set of people operating in an entirely different context at entirely different times.
But because of american cultural imperialism, most queer people in Aotearoa donât even know our own queer history. Carmen Rupe, Ngahuia Te Awekotuku, the Dorian Society, Gillian Laundon, Georgina Beyer, and the Wolfenden Association are some of our queer history. We should know their names! we should know what they did for us! but because of the power of the american imperial machine, we donât.
our national pride month should be july, the month that the Homosexual Law Reform Act passed in 1989. our two largest cities hold their pride festivals in february and march, respectively. american queer history has very little (or nothing, depending on who you ask) to do with our queer history. anecdotally, from my own queries, queer youth in aotearoa know more about american queer history than our own.
anyway, happy pride, americans. iâm truly sorry that most of you donât see the negative impact your nationâs culture has on the rest of the world. and to the rest of the world reading this, try searching for your own country and cultureâs queer history, donât accept the american narratives as your own. we deserve our own histories divorced from the cultural hegemony of the USA.
Me when I cannot physically write: *intense daydreaming, the perfect scene plays out, the heavens open, angelic song fills the imaginative space, the plot holes fill in; never has there been a better scene concocted in all of written art*
Me when I write: *head empty, no thoughts* She... smiled... earnestly?? And cool shit happened??? And... uh... this happened... but like in a neat way - right?
