The watchmen is one of the best and worst things to happen to comic book culture. It's great because it's a realistic take on the idea of superheroes and it explores it's characters wonderfully while also maintaining the idea that there are no true heroes. But on the bad side now we've got fascists idolizing Rorschach and missing the point of his character and moral nihilists hoisting the Comedian up as a perfect example of their views on the world and of morality.
