She followed his hand around the room with her eyes. Sure looked like a laboratory to her. Manhattan, New York? She knew about here, but never thought she’d fled so far as to end up in another country, nevertheless across the sea. Martha supposed she’d stumbled onto a ship. Uh oh. This made her an illegal immigrant. She supposed she’d catch the next boat back to England.
“A Cyberman is a dangerous robot-man creation. It’s a metal shell that believes every human needs to be upgraded to a Cyberman, and in doing so, removes the brain from the person and removes all traces of emotion. It’s awful.”
Well.. That was certainly something he hadn’t heard of. Although, with the manner of creatures and machines and all sorts of things that he’d come across in his time, this, honestly, wasn’t much of a surprise. He met the information with a furrow of his brow and a look in her direction which asked if she were serious in not-so-many words.
“…And, these Cybermen are.. loose? That hardly seems safe. Were they after you in particular, or did you just happen to be apart of a collective? I’m not entirely sure why a machine would wish to ah..” He made little ‘finger quotes’. “… Suck the emotions out of you, as it were.”
He was doing his best not to come off as skeptical as he was, but he was sort of lacking proof here.
"Well, they're actually alien robots that invade Earth from time to time, but this guy named The Doctor comes along an' stops 'em every time! Though sometimes he's too late an' can't save everyone..." She frowned. "An' they crop up around Britain most of the time, since that's where the Doctor visits alot, they n' these other robot-things called Daleks hate The Doctor. But the Doctor is a good man."
"But yeah, I kinda was a part of a collective. They want to upgrade everyone they can so that they could take over Earth. An' they're brutal!"
"You wouldn't happen to know The Doctor, would you?"
