TTPD: unheard, silent, hasn't played a single note
Swifties: this album is for those of us who give 100% and get 0% in return, those of us who pay 75 cents for oat milk in our lattes and then get spit on, those of us who shatter and put ourselves back together again several times a day, those of us who serve as deep wet wells for everyone to take massive shits in every day. Yeah, it's for us.
@anckinskywalker HOW COULD YOU LEAVE THIS IN THE TAGS???? 💀💀

WELL. SO. I’ve been counting down for months and finally the ‘I Can See You’ video is out. I wrote this video treatment over a year ago and really wanted to play out symbolically how it’s felt for me to have the fans helping me reclaim my music. I had my heart set on Joey King, Taylor Lautner and Presley Cash starring in it. Joey and Presley had been in the video for ‘Mean’ when they were 9 and 13 and they are back and so ridiculously bad ass!! Taytay is INCREDIBLE in this (didn’t have a stunt double!) and shout out to Tay Lautner for being so awesome to hang with on set. The Tale of 3 Taylors 😆 I always wanted to direct fight scenes/a heist storyline and had the most incredible time plotting this out with my amazing DP Jonathan Sela. So proud of this one.

Taylor Swift’s Albums 2006-2020
that look of relief at the end
“people haven't always been there for me but music always has.” she’s holding onto her piano the whole music video i’m in tears
Honestly, fuck big machine label group. The fact that after Taylor left we’ve gotten 37 songs, 2 albums, a folk album, a documentary, 4 videos directed or codirected by Taylor, AND SHE OWNS all of it in about ONE YEAR! They were holding her back and I’m glad she’s finally free! I’m so happy and proud of her!
"One thing I did purposely on this album was put the Easter eggs in the lyrics, more than just the videos. I created character arcs & recurring themes that map out who is singing about who" - Taylor
The music video for “cardigan” will premiere tonight, which I wrote/directed. A million thank you’s to my brilliant, bad ass video team - Cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, producer Jil Hardin, executive producer Rebecca Skinner, AD Joe ‘Oz’ Osbourne, editor Chancler Haynes, special effects wizards David Lebensfeld & Grant Miller and set designer Ethan Tobman. The entire shoot was overseen by a medical inspector, everyone wore masks, stayed away from each other, and I even did my own hair, makeup, and styling 😂
folklore will have 16 songs on the standard edition, but the physical deluxe editions will include a bonus track called “the lakes.” Because this is my 8th studio album, I made 8 deluxe CD editions and 8 deluxe vinyl editions that are available for one week 😄 Each deluxe edition has unique covers, photos, and artwork. Available exclusively at https://store.taylorswift.com
Most of the things I had planned this summer didn’t end up happening, but there is something I hadn’t planned on that DID happen. And that thing is my 8th studio album, folklore. Surprise 🤗Tonight at midnight I’ll be releasing my entire brand new album of songs I’ve poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into. I wrote and recorded this music in isolation but got to collaborate with some musical heroes of mine; Aaron Dessner (who has co-written or produced 11 of the 16 songs), Bon Iver (who co-wrote and was kind enough to sing on one with me), William Bowery (who co-wrote two with me) and Jack Antonoff (who is basically musical family at this point). Engineered by Laura Sisk and Jon Low, mixed by Serban Ghenea & Jon Low. The album photos were shot by the amazing Beth Garrabrant. Before this year I probably would’ve overthought when to release this music at the ‘perfect’ time, but the times we’re living in keep reminding me that nothing is guaranteed. My gut is telling me that if you make something you love, you should just put it out into the world. That’s the side of uncertainty I can get on board with. Love you guys so much ♥️
I WAS TOTALLY NOT READY FOR THIS BUT SO DAMN EXCITED. @taylorswift
My conversations with my mom have always been and will always be some of my favorite memories - from when I was 10 months old in this video from October 1990 to now talking every day on the phone. Our talks are everything to me. Myyyyyyyy goodness I love you Mom. Happy Mother’s Day. 💐 PS for those of you who are separated from your loved ones or struggling with this day, my heart is with you 💗
