remembering the time as a kid that my stepdad made me feel dumb for spelling "people" correctly while he unironically said it was spelled "pepole" cuz "its spelled how it sounds"

#granted english isnt his first language #and he often makes fun of english cuz it doesn't make sense (which i agree with cuz true)#but how are u gonna beef with a 7 year old about how a word is spelled #GRANTED AGAIN. its not like he was barely learning English bro has spoken english for probably 90% of his life
