On Hiatus!

Shadeclan is a group of cats that departed from a previous, once peaceful united clan, in search of their own place to call home. Leaded by the newly appointed Fallingstar, their one goal is to live a tranquil life filled with hope and joy.

Hi all! Unfortunately, I don't think I can continue the story of Shadeclan. School is kicking my ass and I simply don't have time to keep up. I sometimes may pop back up to post a doodle because I love these silly guys in my clan, but as of now this blog will simply be an archive. I may attempt things with a new clan, but plans for the future is that these silly guys are being laid to rest. Thank you for all of the support I've gotten, and maybe there'll be a special treat in future clangen stories I make :)

So uh. Sorry for the radio silence lol. I've had low motivation and as stated on my main blog (arcticmarcy), I've recently lost a family member and it's been a big process. I dunno when my hiatus will end but I've had an idea for a small side project. But for now, take this Sunleap doodle and thanks for the patience <3

Finally back at it! Working on the next moon rn. However updates will likely not be consistent and moreso whenever I feel like updating. Thanks for the patience!

Just so it's known, I will likely be going on haitus until I am out for the summer. Final projects and regents will be kicking my ass sooner rather than later and that's what I gotta focus on. Moons will resume in mid June!

Shimmerpelt wasn't looking where she was going and tripped over a small trunk, but came out of it with only her pride bruised.

Boragepaw was grabbed and dropped by an eagle, and somehow survived.

Cozy enjoys spending time with Springdawn and feels secure.

Stitches thinks Brackenpaw isn't considerate of others.

Just a heads up, I was able to pump out some moons during the break I had, but school's starting up again soon and finals are approaching, so there won't be as many updates. I'm focusing on school for the rest of the week, and hopefully I can get an update or two out every week before finals.

Boragepaw isn't acting like her usual self.

Springdawn guides her to sit, gently asking what's wrong. Boragepaw, cuddled close to his side, whispers that she feels like a failure, and that she's not doing good enough. Springdawn tugs her close, murmuring that she's more than her failures. Failure hurts, yes, but with it comes a chance to learn. All she can do is try not to make the same mistake twice.

I just kinda included it cuz I thought it was sweet but maybe I'll find a way to incorporate it into a future plot and if I manage to do that pretend this was on purpose lol

Fallingstar lost a life defending Boragekit from a hawk.

In her eagerness, Brackenpaw accidentally shoves her nose into Fallingstar's so hard that she flinches back in surprise. Brackenpaw sheepishly apologizes, and the two have a good laugh about it.

Boragepaw sits excitedly beside Springdawn as the meeting ends, and hopes that she'll be doing something exciting like battle training first. Her claws are itching to tear at something.

Fallingstar entrusts the title of deputy to Shimmerpelt after a lot of consideration.

Literally nothing interesting happened. (Lol)

Boragekit and Leapwing's noses have finally stopped running.

Leapwing comes up with a plan to sneak out of camp with Stitches. (Friendship yippee (they have been friends for a while actually it's cute 🫶))

Sunleaf stayed up all night thinking of ways to impress Stitches.

Springdawn is having a wonderful time discussing recent Clan news with Boragekit.

Fallingstar thinks Boragekit is being annoying.

Cozy feels safe with Sunleaf around. (Aww more friendship)

Boragekit and Brackenkit enjoy each other's company.

Fallingstar pads along on all four legs for the first time in a long time, wincing. Her healed broken bone has definitely left the leg weaker, but it's manageable as far as she's concerned.

Boragekit has gotten a running nose.

Sunleaf feels safe with Cozy around. (Friendship 100)

Leapwing promises to take Brackenkit outside of camp if she behaves.

Springdawn finds the way Brackenkit acts increasingly uncomfortable. (Rip child hater)

Sunleaf asks Shimmerpelt about something complicated and is amazed at how quickly she understands.

Cozy and Stitches go to gather herbs, and surprisingly, Stitches actually starts up a conversation with (misspelt in post) him about the herbs they're looking for. Cozy launches into the usual spiel, but even more astonishingly, Stitches is actually interested, and it makes his heart feel lighter, getting to share his knowledge and skills with someone who respects him.

Sunleaf and Leapwing found a litter of 2 kits and decided to adopt them.

After giving it some thought, Cozy is found at the border, asking to join the Clan as a medicine cat.

Shimmerpelt and Leapwing welcome Cozy to the Clan. (They are ignored, rip)

Cozy compliments Stitches on her catch during a hunting patrol, which causes her to purr. (Damn bro you just got here calm down lol)
