Here I am sharing one of the funniest gags in Looney Tunes: Back in action.
I died
tumblr is great and all but ya’ll are missing the woman in one of my cat fb groups that has birthed her own tier 1 meme

I have had a lot of evil people say to me that nothing taste as good as skinny feels and every time im like no im pretty sure food tastes really super good actually
I love Cookie Jesus Pure Vanilla, Saint Pure Vanilla, and overall good Pure Vanilla characterization as much as the next person, but I’d LOVE to see more of Pure Vanilla’s flaws being explored and considered, like
Give me reckless Pure Vanilla, or impulsive Pure Vanilla. Give me the Pure Vanilla that thinks of himself too much as “the only one who can” and forgets he counts on a team that can also do things. Heck, even “liar by omission” Pure Vanilla would be nice to see every once in a while, but I want more people to explore the fact that he’s not perfect nor fully “good”
if you’re white and wanna write a poc character and feel awkward about it i implore you to ignore any twitblr stuff treating it as a massive ethical burden and instead come in more with the same mindset you’d have if you wanted to write about idk firefighters but didn’t know anything about firefighters so you do... research. Like fuck off with the weird kinda creepy calls for spiritual introspection you’re not writing about god damn space aliens you’re writing about humans and if you think you need more perspective of different life experiences just read?
If I were writing about firefighters I'd also, in addition to just reading about them, take advantage of Our Blessed Internet to ask actual firefighters about how shit works. I'd do the same for a minority I'm not a part of.
I remember when there was this LiveJournal community where you could just ask about anything you needed for your novel - medicine, professions, vehicles, how things function in country X - and people who knew something about that would answer.
We need to bring this back.
And apparently just this summer they DID bring it back - it's called Little Details and it's on Dreamwidth!!!!
Remember, a world where everyone stays in their own boxes and only writes about their own narrow demographic is straight up a goal for racists. If you ever find yourself attempting anti-racism so hard you've looped back to "functionally the same thing racists want", stop, take stock, and ask yourself where things went wrong.
“Embroidered Snowy Steps” ❋ The only footprints that won’t melt
this came to me in a vision
i dont get offended at white people jokes even though im white because:
i can recognize white people as a whole have systemically oppressed POC in america, which is where i live
most people when they make white people jokes only mean the shitty white people and i am not a shitty white person
im not a pissbaby
my white friends that have reblogged this give me life
4. Sometimes I am a shitty white person and the jokes remind me to FUCKIN STOP
If ur white and like this post I fux with u
^absolutely
5. It’s hard to be offended when white people jokes involve bland food/tourist dads in socks and sandals/white girls in yoga pants obsessed with pumpkin spice/suburban PTA moms and other harmless and mostly true stereotypes while jokes about POC involve them being called thugs/criminals/slurs/uneducated/illegal immigrants.
i fucks with u heavy if ur white and you reblog this
6. They’re usually really fucking funny and don’t perpetuate stereotypes that will ever affect me economically, politically, or cause me any true harm, let alone create risks that “justify” my murder and/or death
It makes me happy when they listen
YES. YES YES YES THANK YOU
well look who it is. my old friend. the conses of my quences.
do not 10k me stop that
*clicks reblog* your old friend, the conses of your quences, sends their regards
As a trans woman I can confirm that they indeed found an ancient forest inside a 630ft deep sinkhole in China
cis people can reblog this but keep it on subject, please
Happy pride month everyone always remember that the sinkhole has an ecosystem large enough to house not only insects but likely several species of small birds or mammals
Wait that's so coolcore awesomepilled!!!
female characters with masculine names r great but i need them to be named stuff like craig and harold and philip i feel like too often their names are too cool. women named kevin
Was doing some googling and I just found out that this???? Is apparently the symbol forrrr either Marfan Syndrome or heart conditions in general??????????
Why is that the symbol. Are you telling me it’s NOT normal to do that with your thumb????? Bro… It’s so easy…….. Non-marfan havers can you confirm. Can you. Can you do that
You can be talking to someone and she'll be like, "Oh I made a silly mistake. Women don't deserve voting rights teehee." And you'll be like, "What." And she'll be like, "Oh I'm sorry! That must sound so bad out of context. No it's this Tiktok meme where, if you're a girl and you do something dumb, you say 'Women don't deserve voting rights teehee.'"
And you'll be like, "That sounds bad." And she'll be like, "No no. It's totally not that bad. It's just a meme. Men say it too. Like if a man does something silly he'll be like, 'I am like those women who do not deserve to vote.'" And you'll be like, "Does that make it better?" And she'll be like, "Well there was one guy who tried to make 'Men shouldn't vote' a popular meme. But it never caught on and also he got yelled at a lot."
And then you drop it there because like, you're harshing the vibe.
God this makes me think of this screenshot:
"it minimizes you as a person" really wraps up my entire discomfort with the whole "oh but i'm just a girl" thing when used in most situations.
listen. folks. you do not need to come up with torturous ways to discuss gender in idw1, okay. 'these characters are fem presenting, she/her users-' they are, canonically, women. they are Just Girls. the robots have gender identities and some are women, and it starts to look Real Suspicious when, given a chunk of the canon characters of note who are women are also trans, you do everything you can to pretend they Aren't Actually Women They’re Kinda Like Women But Different Because Robots.
one, it is factually untrue in the fiction: anode turns to the camera and explains herself to the audience. arcee also does this later on. they are trans women and it's not that complicated. two, you might not mean it that way, but you are being transphobic; your desperation to insist they're Not Technically Women is not you doing some kind of cool sci-fi genderfuckery for a non-organic species or whatever, it is just you misgendering trans woman characters at a certain point. stop it. it will not kill you to call a fictional robot a woman.
