In the Main Verse of LOTR;
Pre-conversion he is Qildarenke Ulondir, a shy, skittish uptight man who inherited a role in Feanors own house as a servant, following the steps of his mother, who served Finwe and then left following his death. When he wasn’t a servant, he was training to be a healer, and had some skill with several instruments.
He rebelled against his mother and left overseas, where his experiences and grief led to him reaching out to the other side and making a deal with the vampires. He was converted, thinking it would save him, and possibly them. He wanted to end it all, but instead he went mad trying to oblige his conflicting duties. It was a steady, slow drop into apathy, depression, and morbid curiosity; pursuing power, experimenting on himself and others, until finally he took the chance and went rogue. {Note: This occurred during a gap in Sauron’s power, I havent decided if this were following the fall of Tol-in-Gaurhoth, which is likely, or if he somehow managed to maintain his rank working on the fringe until the War of Wrath.}
Whichever the case, his madness and desire for power cost him most of his memories until he was able to collect himself under a new identity, and seek a new sort of peace in the wilderness, working as a sort of healer, occasionally crafting and selling medicine with periodic residences in town. The event where he became a lich is connected to how he released himself from the Oath, and lost most of his personal memories and sense of self.
As a result, he is laid back, flexible; yet habits exist outside of is own perception that make him anxious and suffer from loneliness. He is so curious and intrigued by others, to the point of malice, poking, prodding with questions, as a form of engagement. He has an intuitive grasp of how children act, because they too are learning how to socialize; and he relates to bats. Centuries of observations allow him to craft his persona and appear sociable and charismatic, although because his emotions are so potent, his layers of masks can crack in a heartbeat. There is a deep, deep grief and remaining sense of insecurity in the world. Those that see him for who he is, what he is,and accept him gain his fierce protection and worry.
Occasionally, he misunderstands emotions and feelings, seeking out sexual relationships and familial relationships out of gratitude, or concern. As he socializes with others, he learns better, although the desire to form a “colony” remains, to the point where had he the funds, he would hoard inanimate objects. He is attracted to shiny things: jewelry, blond hair, gemstones, etc, although tries to suck or chew rather than wear things, most of the time, partially due to a sense of inadequacy. He wears a belly ring under his clothes, and other things when he is alone, as it makes him happy.
He loves and fears the sea, as salt water would damage his body terribly. The sun is terrifying, although he loves the moon. Until he misplaces it, he wears a small amulet of grond out of respect and memoriam. He stays away from elves, wary, but holding no grudge towards them, or true desire to ruin them - although elven blood is especially potent to him, as it is his own race. Along with blood-drinking, he consumes animal protein and fruit, and has been known, especially in his youth, to scavenge the dead. But a deep, deep hunger remains, and he is careful not to indulge too much, or too little, because his instincts are easy to trigger and harder to tame. And things get dark and bloody fast when he gets mad, especially when the other person is not someone he is close to.
His style of dark magic would be necrobotany, and tends to draw on the natural world to fuel his endeavors. He uses telepathic skills to plant illusions into others minds, or nudge them into complacency, or even to view memories woven into locations. He can also use his abilities to shield his appearance from perception, altering it just so, to seem healthier, or more benign, and in extreme cases, cloak himself from recognition. His other major ability is shapeshifting into a wolf-sized, bat-creature, of which he considers his true shape.
Depending on the verse and those he meets, he can either be redeemed or corrupted further, and convinced easily to follow in others’ ambitions if it might mean peace. He cares little for the ainur as a hierarchy, but prays to the forces of fate and chaos that bring ruin to everything. He is theatrical, and can even play a few instruments half-well enough to carry a tune. His singing is alien chirring, clicking, and whirring, rhythmic but just out of hearing.
Due to the struggle of fluidly considering himself a bat and an elf, his styles of affection frequently change, however licking, purring, nibbling, biting, headbutting, and grooming are all considered platonic. He is very touchy to those he likes, and enjoys being a heat-sponge with his cold, dead corpse. He also remains in the habit of altering his elven body, finding constant edging discomfort of this and that, and his gender-presentation is fluid.
He is demisexual, with high standards, although as a lover or platonic companion, easy to please. Despite relating to children, he is very conscientious of his age and experience, and dislikes those younger than him in that way. He senses his own age in relation to the earth and trees - and his body is prematurely aged through experiments, sporting grey streaks in places, and wrinkles around his eyes.
Yua is 6′2 in normal verses, but in Angband-verses post-Valinor {With voidxsm} his body is 7′2 due to modifications, along with rather ripped from adopting some of melkors hobbies, such as working out.
The General Valinor Verse {Written as Post-Fourth Age as well, and spun off from the chatzy} has him socializing, befriending others, and generally coming to terms with being different- but not unredeemable.
I have no set, default OTPs, platonic or romantic, except those set through interaction.
