Shadow Swap!!
My hyperfixation on my own stupid au has overtaken me so it gets its own blog now.
Shadow Swap is a swap au for the movies, the most notable swaps being Shadow replacing Sonic and Maria replacing Eggman!! There’s plenty other stuff but shhhh patience…

So gotta say love the Swap Au! But I was wondering since Shadow and Sonic swap roles. Does that mean Rouge would take on the role of Tails and Omega the role of Kunckles?
The other way around, actually!!
Rouge teams up with Maria to nab the emerald, and Omega, mistakenly believing Maria made him (hoho, mystery) teams up with Shadow to go kick her ass. Their roles are a little fluid, for example Omega first attacks Shadow like Knuckles does in S2 before they team up, but in general that’s how it goes

Meet our Shadow! Ignore the fact that his eyes are connected like in the games, I’m weak to connecting eyes. Style, bitches.
At the start of S1, he breaks out of containment during a routine check of his vitals, and with his memories missing, inhibitor rings gone, and no knowledge of what he is, who he is, and what’s he’s capable of, he’s freaking out big time. During his escape, he accidentally creates a huge blast in the middle of the sea, which catches the government’s eye, as well as Dr. Maria Robotnik. Cue Shadow The Hedgehog 1!!
As a protagonist, he’s not as outgoing or reckless as canon Sonic, nor is he as angry or determined as canon Shadow, because as of right now, he knows of nothing to be angry about. He’s more so scared, scared of his own power and worried that he’s a danger to the Earth, thus the first movie turns from a quest to find the ring portals to a quest to find his inhibitor rings, only for those very things to hinder him in the final chase.
In short, he’s baby. Please be nice to him, he’s very frightened <///3

I present, the Sonic movie swap au that’s been annihilating my brain. I’m calling it Shadow Swap, since Shadow is swapped with Sonic, but im not focusing on him for now cause LOOK AT MY GIRL!!! I LOVE EHR SHES MY FAVORITE
This is Maria!! She doesn’t go by that name anymore, at least not by anybody outside of a few people within government ranks that knew her back then. She takes the place of Ivo in the au!! If Ivo is constantly >:( or >:) then she’s eternally :3: very cheerful and upbeat, but believe me, no less dangerous and ready to kill. She doesn’t remember Shadow for lore reasons (ooooh mysterious oooooooh), but she does know he’s somehow connected to her past and that leads to her hunting him down in S1. Shadow doesn’t remember either, cause the government sucks even harder here :3
