Final Dissertation Writing

I have started on authoring the Project Dissertation final report, in hopes of future success and for my final year project to come to its end. I will cover all of which has been done and that will be included or fixated in development and future endeavours of this projects regards.

Rest Week

unfortunately, due to my illness and wellbeing I was unable to have much progress this week. However, I will soon begin writing a interesting story for the game. This will be written with the help of multiple people for the best result.

Clinical Psychology.

these are the entirety of all psychological departments. through evaluating how this game will be affecting someone and how it should be used, to fixate the focus of the Game on, I must conclude of which department I will be a part of.

Developments

I am watching and completing tutorials in Unity, Unreal Engine and comparing it with Pyglet, in order to see which software and platform is best for developments of the application.

New Term Began

In this term, thankfully I am enrolled in Expressive Game Design. of which will help me with game theory and game design, most importantly, how precisely I will be implementing my thesis within a game and successfully complete my project.

Statistical studies

Statistical study shows that psychological analysis and methods of understanding between the doctor(psychiatrist) and the patient are, to an extent, time consuming. Thus leading me to the next part of my research which concluded more reason for the game to be used as a sort of tool. To be used by not only in clinics, but maybe as an application for future production.

Finished a course

I have successfully completed a course in regards to pygame, Pyglet and more. And have now gained the fundamental knowledge needed to begin my thesis.

Expanding Knowledge

I will be studying further into Pygame, Pyglet and Python Arcade. the modules will be Mandatory to use, along with an environmental Game Engine Called Godot for the game to have its soul and body. Using the included mods and accents, I also have to be well informed of GDSCript, which thank fully is quite similar to Python, however containing further functionalities required.

Story writing

I will be spending most of my time during the Christmas holidays, writing a (short or long) story, for the game to be based on. followed by a baseline of how the game will be carried out to be.

Discovery of Game Genre

This week I have been familiarising myself with the methods I will be using, along with the game Genre’s I will be developing on. How I will be creating, maintaining and creating a flow of story telling.

Learning “Machine Learning”

I have been highly focussed on my Machine Learning Module in order to familiarise myself further with the concept. I intend to implement some ML into my Project.

Decision of development

After many hours of research and contact hours with my supervisor and other majors within the field of my project, I have come to a final conclusion of creating a game. The game will still have many aspects of human psychological studies. though it will Only, study the in game played character. the game will be highly focussed on using a heart beat sensor.

Final Dissertation Report

I have successfully finished my final dissertation Proposal for my project project. Due to my research I have discovered that it is possible for me to establish relevance between my thesis and Computational cognitive Neuroscience. I will be in contact with my supervisor along with Head of the Cognitive Neuroscience Department of Goldsmiths University.

Week 4 Log

I have progressed in my knowledge of human psychology by researching the functionality of ones personality and how far other humans can affect them. The Research included:

Project Discussion

Today I spoke to my Supervisor, Edward Anstead, and have successfully covered the ideas and steps that are required to be taken. the idea has great potential, though it must be narrowed down greatly in order for it to be 100% deliverable within the fixed time set.  The Idea Will however, be a conjunction between Computer Science and Human Psychology.
