My Journey with Gender Fluidity

When I was around 11 or 12, just on the cusp of puberty, I began experiencing emotions that more closely aligned with my being female. I gravitated toward shows like the Dinah Shore Show and Sally Jesse Raphael. I loved seeing glamorous and strong women such as Rula Lenska, a very glamorous Russian model and spokesperson who came on these shows to give beauty tips and talk about her glamorous life. To this day, I still follow her advice. My face and my elbows appear years younger as a result!

At this time, I felt very conflicted. People would ask me "are you a boy or a girl?" and at first I was indignant. I said, "Of course I am a boy." As a couple of years went by and I got more confident in myself, I said simply "YES" when asked if I was a girl or a boy.

I feel I am truly what Native Americans call a "two-spirit person." I have very strong female attributes in addition to being happy now in my male body.

Another strong woman I felt a lot of love for was Barbara Jordan. I learned so much about our world and politics from her, and much of my political leanings are thanks to her. A strong Democratic woman, she was a presidential candidate, and when I watched her speech at a convention, it brought tears to my eyes. If you can go back and find it, I highly suggest watching it. I'll try to add a link to this post.

So my gender is fluid at this point, and I feel comfortable having the sensibilities of a female and some of the stronger desires of a male wrapped into this psyche of mine.

Canva has a new video making tool that’s AI based. It’s a simple way to create a video without thinking about it. I created the artwork and @canva did the rest.

My partner has this photo editing app and he creates some amazing photos with it. He made me into a woman who has very big hair. Trouble is that it looks like every woman on my mom’s side of my family.
