So I really wanted to revisit this piece I did early on of Sarahi during the burning of Teldrassil. It was one of my more popular pieces but I could see so many flaws in it that it hurt lol

I’m a lot happier with this, though I suspect it won’t see as large of an audience since the original moment has passed - which is fine! I can see the improvement and that’s what matters most to me.

I’m actually feeling half way inspired to art/RP again. It’s a small miracle! In celebration, here’s Sarahi ( @shalesong ) - with proper antlers for once! :D

I’m starting to put her out in the world again and it’s lovely. Do say hello if you see her around!

Crawdad and Mana Ray

Crawdad - Time for a scavenger hunt. Find three items that represent your character. (bonus if pictures are included) The first item would definitely have to be the little elderhorn carving that was given to her by the first tauren she befriended upon arriving in horde territory. The trinket is carved with the symbols of all the highmountain tribes - and in those early days it really helped keep the homesickness at bay. She treasures it, even though it’s now been many moons since she last saw the friend who gifted it to her.

Secondly, it would have to be Sar’s feathers. She is terribly fond of them and it’s nearly impossible to find her without at least one pair fastened to her antlers or her braids. She believes the feathers bring her good luck and will not pass up a chance to add more to her (rather large) collection - however she has been known to gift them to particularly close friends if she feels they may need  them more than her.

Lastly, her herb pouch. Originally meant for keeping various tinctures and remedies to support her healing, it’s now also used for stashing various things she collects through the day, plus the odd bag or two of sweets.

Mana Ray - How does your character like their eggs? Scrambled? Over easy? From a chicken?

Scrambled, on toast, with plenty of butter - but hold the cheese!

Draenor Kaliri - Does your character prefer the day or night time? If they had to stay awake during hours they aren’t use to, how would they cope?

Sarahi prefers the daytime - more specifically, the mid-late afternoon. Growing up in Highmountain, the days were often quite cold but these times offered the best chance for a little bit of sunshine and warmth! She doesn’t do terribly well with changing her sleeping patterns but does her best when it’s required. Worst case, someone might have to nudge her awake from a doze here and there.  

Direhorn - What is something that others least expect about your character?

Ooh, tough question. I’d say perhaps her ferocity when it comes to protecting her friends/loved ones. She’s usually quite the mild mannered and passive lady and outbursts or flared tempers are exceptionally rare. Don’t be fooled though! If there is no other option, she’ll gladly lay her life on the line and fight til her last breath for what is right.  

Arcane Serpent - What are your character’s thoughts revolving around magic?

She is fascinated by most, wary of some. It really depends upon the particular school of magic. Restorative magics that work in harmony with the world, such as druidism and shamanism are highly respected in her eyes. Void/Demonic/Destructive magics on the other hand, tend to make her quite uneasy and she’ll do her best to avoid those who practice such schools.  .

Tyrannos is a mischievous Tauren feral druid who would probably be good friends with your Sarahi, considering their shared heritage and Druidism. He likes to prowl to sneak up on his friends and jump out to scare them.

Kitties! Looks like Sarahi strolled down the wrong path and set herself up for an unexpected pouncing.

There was probably a bit of panicked hissing and fluffing up following, but she would quickly see the funny side of it.

Linnadhiel may meet your baby in a place of neutrality, and while atm she's understandably not fond of Horde, Tauren and Highmountain are a -usual- exception given their ties to nature. She may give her a flower, or flower crown!

Sarahi has a lot of respect for the Kaldorei and a lot of love for fellow druids! I could certainly see them taking a break in the Dreamgrove and forgetting the responsibilities of the outside world if just for a short while.
