One of the biggest plot points in the greater Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series is the seven-year gap between its trilogy conclusion Trials and Tribulations, and the series' intended soft reboot Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Trials and Tribulations was released in 2004 and set in 2018-19, whereas Apollo Justice was released in 2007 and set in 2026. With so many one off and returning characters that varied from game to game, it's become increasingly difficult to keep track of those pesky age ranges. So for those who are curious...
Here is a list of ALL characters with a profile in at least one case's Court Record, as well as their known age, death date and vague yearly timeline of events wherever applicable.

With that in mind, here are 28 fun facts about the characters and their ages that make sense once you think about it, but you don't really think about.

Curently, in canon (Spirit of Justice) the year is 2028. The Trilogy ended in 2019 with Phoenix Wright being disbarred. (same year as T&T)
Ahlbi Ur'gaid is the youngest character in the series in 2028, at nine years old.
Pearl Fey is 18 in 2028, nine years older than Ahlbi.
Cody Hackins is the youngest character to be featured in a case (7 years old) but not the youngest overall
Cody Hackins and Pearl Fey are the same age, both born in 2010.
Pearl is also older than Trucy who is 17 in 2028.
Athena Cykes is 19 in 2028, making her older than Pearl and Trucy
Kay Faraday is 26 in 2028, two years younger than Maya who is 28 at that time.
Ema is 27 in 2028
The oldest known living character is Quercus Alba at 81.
Manfred von Karma would've been the oldest, but he died between December 2016 and June 2017. He would've been 87 in 2028.
Wendy Oldbag is immortal has no canon age
Other characters (alive) with no canon ages are Morgan Fey, Dr. Hotti/Hickfield, Shelly de Killer, Lisa Basil and Sirhan Dogen. Their ages are "???" in the Court Record
Frank Sahwit's original age was 33, but was retconned to 44 in later versions of the game. His retconned age is consistent with his appearance in Ace Attorney Investigations 2.
Ahlbi Ur'gaid was born the year Phoenix Wright was disbarred.
Ben and Trilo (33 in JFA) are over twice Regina Berries age (16 in JFA). Ben is one year older than Godot
Matt Engarde (31 in 2028) and Kristoph Gavin (34 in 2028) are closer in age than Kristoph and Klavier (26 in 2028)
Sasha Buckler, Olga Orly and Alita Tiala are all the same age (23 in 2028)
The IS-7 incident predates every other event in the PW:AA timeline
Cindy Stone, April May, Will Powers, Dahlia Hawthorne, Viola Cadaverini, Iris Hawthorne, Kristoph Gavin, Bobby Fullbright, Florent L'Belle, Soloman Starbuck and Geiru Toneido are all the same age (34 in 2028). This is the most common age.
John Marsh is the same age as Marlon Rimes (22 in 2028)
Katherine Hall was the same age in AAI2 as Kristoph Gavin is in 2028. She is 43 in 2028

Ohohoho FANTASTIC. These two are such bastards and everyone fears them whenever they're on a case together.
Their very first interaction was Ema asking him "can taka eat snackoos?" and blackquill sighing bc UGH another person who wants to treat taka like a cute little birdy, and he says "No." and Ema's like "good. I don't want to share" and she immediately tips the rest of the snackoos into her mouth, chews, and swallows. And this is the first time anyone other than Edgeworth hasn't been terrified of him, so he's just like :) new friend to terrify people with
Seeing them together is kind of hilarious bc Simon is like 6'2", muscular as hell, carries around a sword and a hawk... And Ema is just a five foot something scientist who happens to be full of rage.
Also I feel like Simon would absolutely remind Ema of Lana. Putting on a cold act and confessing to a crime bc they think their younger sibling (or younger sibling figure) did it... Yeah. She can see right through his whole Terrifying Samurai Act, and she doesn't let all of his talk about prison scare her. He's like "heh! I once knew a man who chewed his way through a prison wall to try to escape! This is nothing" and Ema's like "that's real fucken neato, pal"
Also blackquill probably knows the vague details of Ema's past with Lana, so at some point she sees a blue badger sign and flinches and no hesitation he pulls out his sword and cuts it in half. That's the first indication blackquill has ever shown that he knows anything about Ema's past, and there's a second where Ema's like "ugh. He isn't gonna treat me any differently now, is he?" but then blackquill immediately says the blue badger design is ugly now get a move on skye-dono we have work to do
I've played Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney probably six or seven times, it's my favourite Ace Attorney game by a landslide.
I can explain probably anything from this game from either context clues or theories built upon the vague single-lines-of-dialogue lack of information we get in that game but there was one thing that I never had an answer for and never thought to consider because it seems so irrelevant. Why did Kristoph hire Apollo?
That's because he knew. Kristoph knows Apollo is Magnifi's grandson and Trucy's brother, and he hired Apollo to keep tabs on him. Kristoph was fucking thorough.
I don't know how many other people realized this before me or if it's just common knowledge, but I just realized it and I'm absolutely shook.
