Back on the texture set grind.
It's the end of the month and it'd be nice to round it out with a few more sales if you fancy some nice commercial-use textures for your projects! Rivets n Rust evokes 90s base maps, Downtown Dystopia's a bit more modern urban. Both packs include a commercial use license for game devs but you can just as easily use them for your Quake maps or what have you.
You can get these packs from my Itch page!
Feel free to give me a follow there if you like (even if you don't fancy either of these in particular.)
Got myself added to a couple of indie dev starter packs on Bluesky over the last week or so and got a lot of genuine-looking followers out of it. One for indie developers with followings under 1k, and one for AI-free devs. Only a few obvious ragebait grift/psyop bot accounts, but it's not like you're going to get away from those anywhere.
My account is @/shallowthinking if anyone else is over there too. I generally post more there, and you'll find the packs in my recent reposts.
I hit a small sales milestone on my itch store recently, so in celebration I posted a little update to my free texture pack Brutal Base with a new selection of authentic upcycled early 2000s assets.
Devlog here!
Releasing my first solo games THING into this cold and uncaring world.
The Brutal Base texture pack is OUT NOW for all your grimly concreted environment needs. 80 authentically 90s/00s diffuse textures plus extra FX stuff in three formats to meet your needs, great for retro style games and any of you sickos that are still actually making stuff for Quake 3.
Grab it from my Itch page. You can even have this one as a freebie if you want.

My new game texture pack is now live for purchase! Downtown Dystopia has 100+ textures ideal for low-def exterior urban environments. Concrete, brick, cement, floors, doors, and more. May be used in commercial and non-commercial projects. No GenAI, human-edited from photo source.
Retro style urban texture pack for building modern cityscapes.
Forgot I haven't posted this promo shot here yet! I installed NetRadiant Custom the other week and slapped some brushes down for the first time in a long time. It had some peculiarities compared to the various older Radiant forks that I'm more used to, but for the most part the flow came back really fast and I only needed to look a couple of things up.
There's a lot to be said for building world geometry in a tool that was specifically designed for that, rather than a more generalist 3D program. Interestingly NetRadiant Custom adds some extra tools that are more like a full 3D package, but integrates them in a sensible way and preserves what was there. Apart from removing the Z-axis pane which I will never stop being mad about :D
Aaaaaaaaanyway... This isn't a complete map, just a handful of rooms/atria I built to demo my resurrected vintage texture set Rivets n Rust which is 300+ environment textures for a measly eight bucks with a commercial use license.
(Does tumblr spank visibility on posts with links? I have no idea.)
I need to shift this from being an empty host blog into the place where I put most things, because it's probably just making it harder to get follows when I make most of my content posts, comments etc. from side blogs.
For some reason when I resurrected this account for my current enterprise it just didn't occur to me to simple rename the main account for STG, instead of making a new sideblog for it :D
