Dumbledore bashing in Tomarry fics is kind of overdone at this point. Fics where Dumbledore observes Harry fall hard and fast (lmao, no pun intended) for Diary/ Ring/ Time Travelling Tom has potential for such delicious drama.

I will die on this hill that Albus Legilimens Dumbledore heard Harry simping over Tom's beauty and charisma in the Memories in HBP and almost had an aneurysm. His beloved protégé, the boy he had moulded into Light's Biggest Weapon is about to repeat his greatest mistake - falling for Pretty Dark Lords?!!

He was absolutely side eyeing Harry in HBP.

Give me fics where Dumbledore is kind of traumatized and is haunted by feelings of deja vu at seeing Harry get drawn into Tom's orbit, but as he sees Tom, someone he had declared defacto as a monster incapable of love, growing increasingly possessive and fond of Harry is forced to admit he may have had been wrong.

Dumbledore once seeing Harry and Tom's growing closeness as an impending catastrophe, is now moved despite himself, overcome with a sense of nostalgia and melancholia.

"Ah, to be young and feel love's keen sting.." he would mumble.

For someone who is an advocate of power of love, seeing Tom transform into something different than the macabre young man he knew... wouldn't it be the greatest proof?

Also, Dumbledore will be the only one who would be able to empathize with Harry's dilemma.
