Jungkook pov

I breathed in the cold air as I hugged my coat closer to my body, my boss had called me in for a shift on my day off ... I worked at a small Cafe 10 minutes away from the apartment I shared with my friends " thank God, I'm sorry for calling you in but Jen called in sick " my boss explained when I entered through the back door , I pulled my coat off and relaxed at the warm temperature inside the Cafe " its fine , I didn't have any plans today " I spoke as I grabbed my pen and notepad . I took orders for a couple of teenagers that had just finished school and some for business people before I noticed a young blonde woman sitting in the corner " how long has she been here " I turned and asked my boss , he glanced over to where I was looking " came in just before you did " was his answer before he went into the back room . I turned my attention towards the next teen waiting to be served " large iced chocolate " she ordered with a loud voice popping the bubble gum she was chewing " that would be $5 dollars " I spoke politely but the loud chewing made my nose scrunch " seriously , I can get it for $3.50 down the road " the dark haired teen complained about the price " I'm sorry I don't decide the price " I explained calmly trying to stop my eyes from rolling " whatever " she groaned before slapping five dollars on the counter.

I started to make the iced chocolate before turning to see the blonde from the corner waiting to be served " hi what can I get for you " I asked slightly forgetting the pervious order , blue/Grey eyes meet my brown ones as the blonde looked at me " can I please get a Carmel latte extra large " she spoke softly, I smiled slightly before telling her the total " where are you from " I asked out of curiosity as she definitely wasn't from around here " oh I'm from Australia, I've been here about a year " she admitted handing me the $6 dollars " oh wow we don't normally get Australians around these parts of Seoul, I'm jungkook by the way " I introduced myself as I put the money in the til " river " was the reply I received as the corners or her bow shaped lips turned up in a smile , I swear my heart wanted to jump out of my chest at the rate it picked up just by her smile " ah I'm still waiting for my order " the rude teen interrupted with a groan , I winched slightly at the loud tone " I'm sorry " I apologized before turning back to finish the iced chocolate " I'll bring your order to you " I informed river .

I placed the iced chocolate on the counter for the teen before moving towards river " here's your Carmel latte, I'm so sorry about our conversation being interrupted" I apologized placing the cup on the table, she smiled slightly before speaking " no worries , maybe she likes you " river teased referring to the dark haired teen who was currently watching us " well unfortunately for her I'm not interested " I admitted, this made river eyebrow rise slightly " ah do you have a partner then " river questioned before sipping on her drink " no I'm single " was my answer. I've had a couple girlfriends but they weren't exactly what I was looking for, wanted someone that cared for me as much as I did for them , someone who loved me for me . My attention was pulled from my thoughts when the bell above the door rang " I better get back to doing my job " I spoke towards river before moving back behind the counter.

When closing time came around I noticed a piece of paper sitting on the table river was at , I smiled when I read the writing.. she had given me her number. Tucking the paper into my jeans pocket , I locked the door and started my walk home . The sky was beginning to darken and the air was even colder, I wish brought my gloves but I didn't think I'd need them .. I was releaved once I reached the door to my shared apartment and the warmth hit my face when I pushed it open " I'm home " I called out to my friends but was only met by one voice " how was work " taehyung asked still focusing on the TV " cold and had a rude customer, where's jimin " I spoke as I let my body fall onto the empty space on the sofa " went to his friends " taehyung replied as he picked up the remote to flick from the channels " have you ever met this friend of his " I questioned thinking about how neither of us have ever seen him with other people besides our mutual friends that live on the floor above us " no , he always has a reason why he doesn't let us " taehyung answered honestly, he was right every time we asked jimin always had an excuse.

" maybe he's secretly dating them " I suggested with a slight laugh.

After taehyung had gone to his room I remembered the paper in my pocket, I typed the number into my phone before putting the paper back so taehyung wouldn't find it .

Me : Hi it's jungkook

River : Hi 👋 for a bit I was worried you didn't get the piece of paper

Me : well I did since I'm messaging you lol , sorry I was watching YouTube with my friend

River : lol true , no worries I was doing the same anyway 😄

Me : if you don't mind me asking how old are you

I smiled locking my phone and laid down on my bed , I listened to the light sound of the rain hitting the window.... I didn't even notice the rain until now .

River's pov

I'm glad my cousin recommended the Cafe to me or I wouldn't have meet jungkook . I had been living in Seoul with my cousin for a year but I've never seen someone as handsome as jungkook. I took notice of his black hair , the small freckle under his lip , his smile.

" what's got you so happy " my cousin Vanessa questioned from her spot on at the table " I met someone " I admitted as looked at my brunette cousin, who watched me with a smirk " that's amazing is he cute " she questioned as she released her wiggled her eyebrows " very " I replied making her giggle like a school girl " are you going to tell what you are " was the next thing that came out of her mouth. I looked at Vanessa like she was a 5 headed dragon " I've only just met him and no he'd freak out " my voice raised slightly higher in defense.

" he might find tattooed demigods hot " Vanessa suggested with a shrug , I can't believe this women... I'm lucky to even have a best friend that didn't run away when he found out but I doubt I'd get a boyfriend.

" I'm going to bed, I need the energy to deal with your daughter " I spoke as I stood up and walked around the table to head down the hallway.

Working on the Dutton ranch was hard work but the people were worth it. Teeter and Colby were like the fun loving couple, they did crazy things together and looked out for each other at the same time. Abby and ryan was a relationship straight out of a romantic novel, basically love at first sight and they never shut up about each other. As for harley and walker it was a different story, they weren't together and butted head over nearly everything but they were the only ones that couldn't see the connection.

It was Saturday night, the ranch was quiet meaning they could have a drink and play games . Harley squished next to teeter and Colby on the couch " you guys make me sick " the purple haired women groaned at the kiss her friends shared , teeter pulled away from her partner and turned to her best friend " at least we aren't as bad as them " the short haired women spoke as she pointed towards Abby and ryan who were cuddled up on the bunk , they basically needed their own room " Jesus take it somewhere else " harley shouted as she threw a book at ryan , a few of the others laughed at the slight of the book hitting ryan " oh yeah at least I can get some " ryan joked back climbing off his bunk and threw the book back towards harley but she ducked and laughed " would you children cut it out " walker groaned from wear he was sitting next to the window, harley smirked before for turning towards the rest " someone is grumpy he doesn't get any either " harley commented making Lloyd spit out his drink but walker didn't think it was funny " is that why your so moody " he snapped back making everyone turn to watch what was about to happen, harley was stubborn and never backed down first " obviously your still a virgin then " was the comeback the purple haired women had chosen as her next sentence, by now the pair were face to face " wouldn't you like to know " walker smirked trying to get the better of harley but she was quick with words and already knew how to challenge someone like him " you wouldn't be able to handle me darling " she whispered as she leant closer, all eyes were on them... teeter was sure that harley was to blind to even notice the way walkers breath caught in his throat when the stubborn woman leant closer but it was differently noticeable for teeter. Harley turned on her heel and headed for the door " where are you going " Abby asked from where she was sitting, harley turned towards her other friend " going to the barn " she replied before disappearing out the door and the sound of her boots hitting the ground was heard slightly. Some of the bunkhouse thought walker was a fool if he didn't like harley, she was smart .. funny.. hard working and beautiful.

Harley signed at the thought of walker stuck in her head , truth was she did like him.. she had from the first time they meet but he wouldn't think the same " so stupid " she groaned to herself as she leant against the wall to the barn . She didn't understand why men were so hard sometimes, she was sure men didn't catch her hints or they just didn't like her . Harley was jealous of how her friends had lovely relationships and she couldn't even get the guy she wanted to like her , she wanted what teeter and Colby had or Abby and ryan had . She wanted someone to look at her like the was the beautiful thing they had ever seen " why can't I be beautiful " she said to herself not realizing someone was standing there " you are beautiful " a male voice answered her , Harley slightly jumped at the sudden voice . Her eyes looked onto walkers as he stepped into the light, harley didn't even hear him follow her " don't play with me " she rolled her eyes at the words he had spoken, she didn't believe him and just thought he was joking " I'm not playing" he admitted as he stepped closer towards the confused woman, harley thought he hated her " are you being serious " she questioned him as he was known standing right in front of her body, he smiled slightly before leaning closer " I'm always serious sweetheart " he whispered in her ear , harley couldn't feel her heart beat faster as he kept himself close " you wouldn't handle me " she teased reminding him of what she had said back at the bunk house " I'd like to find out " was the reply she got before walker pressed his lips against her own , Harleys eyes widen slightly before returning the kiss . Walker had his hands against Harley's waist as she moved her hands around the back of his neck to pull him closer, their lips moved in prefect sync before another voice interrupted them " well wasn't expecting this " teeter giggled from where her and Abby were standing, the pair had decided to check on there friend once they noticed that walker was no longer in the bunkhouse but found something unexpected . Walker pulled away turning to see the gigglly woman standing a few meters away " go away " harley groaned and try to make her friends leave " don't worry we are going " Abby replied as she dragged teeter back towards the bunk house " soo , do you still want to see if you can handle me " harley straight up asked walker once her friends were gone " I want to make you mine " walker admitted before kissing harley again.

Teeter and Abby giggled all the way back to the bunkhouse before telling everyone else what they had just seen , of course some were surprised but others agreed it was about time harley and walker actually admitted how they felt. Teeter smiled knowing she could hopefully convince the new couple to go on triple dates now .

Violet had been dragged to another party with her brother Steve and his girlfriend Nancy. It was a Halloween party so violet went as herself, blacked ripped years . Black t-shirt to show her tattoos, black makeup and boots " try not to fight anyone this time " Steve nagged his sister once they entered the party , this had been going on for awhile now . Ever since will and violet went missing everyone thought violet was behind it ... " I wouldn't be me ,if I didn't " violet smiled at her brother and walked off to get a drink . She moved through the crowd avoiding the many people making out and flopped on the couch.
