one of my favorite things to do as someone's friend is when they're mentioning something they like. i love going "i'd love to know the lore". and then see them go "OKAY SO LIKE" and then they keep going for the next 2 hours and i get to read about their interests. like yesssss tell me everything about what you love!!!!!

one genre of fanfiction that seems to have mostly disappeared since i became an adult is shenanigans-type fics. like not exactly crack but just "the gang goes to 7-11" type, extremely low-stakes plot stories. the beach episodes of fanfiction. i just feel like i don't see those around so much anymore. whered they go. i miss them :(

Also, see how The Lamb is being held prisoner by Narinder's while Narinder has his own chains (because they're narrative foils AND counterparts?) And how the background is supposed to be shaped like an open rib/cage (shaped like a heart <3), because they're not truly trapped when it comes to each other, even though it really plays that way at first? That is, there's no cage. (Get it. Rib-cage? Open rib-cage? Aha)

ANyway, this drawing took me a week..ish? to finish. Mostly because I couldn't decide about some artistic choices and needed space to see the drawing with another pair of eyes. (theyre the same ones. just less tired) I still think there are some weird disparities, but I'll work on it.

Ps: Have a different version of the drawing with another highlight. I couldn't decide which one I liked more, but the first one seemed to be more intense in a way that was calling out to me.
