Puzzle 10: Twenty-Five Letters
This month's puzzle consists of the following challenge:
Fill a 5 by 5 grid with 25 different letters (no repeated letters), to form as many words as possible. Your grid is scored in the following way. For each row and column of the grid, you score
5 points if it consists of a valid 5-letter word
3 points if the longest word it contains is 4 letters.
1 point if the longest word it contains is 3 letters
Examples:
All words used must be valid in the TWL Scrabble dictionary.
In order to to pass this challenge and get credit for solving this puzzle, you must submit a grid that scores at least 28 points. Submit your grid using the usual answer check methods, and if it is acceptable, you will be told the puzzle answer. And if you score over 28, you could get a spot on this challenge's high score list!
