So I read this the other day, and it’s honestly a really pretty, cute little book.

I have to say, my favorite part was when Li mentioned Morris; the whole book is this elegant description of the vibrant creatures that inhabit and protect Ta Lo, then she gets to Morris and is like

“And then we have Morris. Morris is a weird little dude, not gonna lie, but he’s great, I promise.”

Michelle Yeoh’s character in Shang-Chi is great, because she’s played by Michelle Yeoh and she’s a badass, but also when she greets Katy, I just love it. Shang-Chi and Xialing are her blood, she has reason to welcome them, but Katy is just a normal. Still gives her a big hug, a happy “Welcome to Ta Lo!”

One of my favorite little things about 616 shang chi is how he talks like an old man bc he was raised in "ancient china". And its not just him it's his siblings too. Because they were raised on ancient mandarin and they weren't allowed access to the outside world. So when he speaks English its in this... more proper way if that makes sense?
