So I’m sure most international MLQC fans know about the news, but Victor’s new VA Jonah Scott just got fired after tweeting “Good morning, Taiwan is a country!”

As someone who is Taiwanese 🇹🇼, I am beyond livid about what happened here. Although I don’t know if what PG did was due to being worried about the consequences they would face if they continued working with Jonah Scott or because they really believe what he stated was false. But I find it hard for me to continue supporting a game that thinks oppression is something they’re ok with.

I mean just look at what happened to Hong Kong. One of my friends in Taiwan told me that an upperclassman from her college was doing an exchange student program in China and nothing about the Hong Kong protests were reported, she didn’t know anything about it until she visited Taiwan during her break.

Jonah is literally being harassed on Twitter by rabid Chinese fans who are literally cursing him out and calling him very inappropriate names.

This isn’t the first time this has happened:

1. Pewdiepie spoke out about supporting Hong Kong because of the protests in one of his videos and now he’s banned in China. Everything about him has been taken down and vanished into thin air.

2. Zedd the musician literally tweeted a picture of South Park and got banned from China over it too.

3. My Hero Academia is currently banned in China after the author named a character Maruta Shiga, and Maruta was used as a code name during War that involved the Japanese torturing and hurting many Chinese and Koreans. My personal opinion on this is that in no way did Horikoshi know or intended for the naming to be referencing the code name, if anything he probably didn’t even know about it, and because of this, Chinese fans attacked him on Twitter on top of sending death threats to over this. He immediately apologized and had the name changed but Chinese fans basically refuse to accept his apology and no longer support him.

Anyway thanks for reading and go show Jonah some love, he does not deserve any of the slander thrown at him by Chinese trolls.

Gavin’s Valentine Day & CNY Date Tangent

In Gavin's Romantic date which happened on Valentine's Day Gavin and Yōurán were looking at a suit and Gavin said that he really didn't like suits. (Those who want to see how much Gavin hates them see his Amusement Park Date)

In the end, they didn't buy the suit but Gavin must have come back after the date because in his Valentine's Day R karma...

He's wearing the suit! And guess what else?

He wore it when he was meeting MC's family in the Chinese New Year date!

I will no longer be updating this blog.

I am slowly becoming less invested in this game. I'm still playing it, but it's no longer interesting enough for me to do analysis and translations.

I had lots of fun times writing what I did and I am grateful that they were well-received but good times have come to an end.

I will edit typos and update final version of masterlist but after that I will be gone. I will also be deleting posts that I think are unnecessary.

Yōurán is the MC's semiofficial placeholder name in the Chinese version, right? Does her name have any particular meaning like the other characters?

Youran was a placeholder name before the game release. But many CN players wanted to self-insert and wanted her to have no name and kept demanding to Papergames.

Some toxic CN fans attacked other players who used the name Youran. Ex) If someone posted a fanart and titled "Victor x Youran" they would comment things like "Stop calling her Youran. There is no Youran." etc.

As a result, Paergames later took back their words and said that MC has no name.

Youran in Chinese means carefree, leisurely.

In the beginning, I was wildly optimistic about season two, because to me, it represented a break from the what I personally felt were awful trainwrecks of the latter chapters in season one.

But now as the new cards are released, I'm left feeling horribly desolate instead. The characters do not change, but the memories connecting me to them are suddenly in question. Kiro's new date is titled "初心", but I'm not sure what will remain after it is written over

The story has always been about MC having to make hard decisions to save the future. More than once. It’s her destiny as Queen. This is why I consider the story of Love and Producer as Youran(MC)’s hero arc with romance sprinkled.

I assume you’re talking about the winter world. You can’t say for sure that 3 guys are against her and 2 guys aren’t. Except for 1(Shaw) they all don’t remember her so of course they treat her differently and have a different relationship with her. It’s up to MC to form a new relationship with the guys.

Chapter 21 and real life

I was re-reading chapter 21 and I think it's really ingenious that Evolvers being persecuted by the public reminds me of real-life conflict between majority vs minority.

The discrimination and prejudice against Evolvers is the same as how the public view minority groups. Lots of ethnic or social groups are persecuted in this world. But that doesn't mean that the minority are 100% purely innocent victims. The thought that the oppressed minority are entirely morally clean is just an illusion.

That is true to Evolvers as well. Many are just ordinary people trying to live their lives like the elevator repair guy in chapter 13 and Doctor Song. But there are some group of evolvers who went down a dark path *cough Black Swan with their Evol superiority *cough STF with their inflated sense of authoritarianism. (Although STF was more about military dictatorship)

There are people like Josie, who started out as a victim, just a poor girl who lost her family, but she was tricked by BS and was blinded by her thirst for vengeance that she caused the fire accident that nearly killed Yōurán and Gavin.

Both sides are blinded by their bias of the other, and cause chaos and spread hatred to those that we consider "weaker" than us.

I think it was in chapter 11, when Yōurán went over her father's notes and concluded that whether it be Evolvers or Non-Evolvers, they were just equal people. Yōurán's father taught her well. We need more people like her in real life.

Mini- House Features

恋与制作人(Chinese Love and Producer) introduced mini-house in October 30th, 2018, which was after chapters 15-18 update.

러브앤프로듀서(Korean LnP) got mini-house on July, 2019, as part of their first anniversary update.

It’s been more than three months since the English version of LnP, Mr. Love Queen’s Choice celebrated their first anniversary but yet they haven’t updated the mini-house.

Mini-house have daily quests that give you 20 gems everyday. By delaying the mini-house features, EN server players are getting less gems than CN/KR servers. Even if we have mini-house right now, we still would have gotten approximately 1800 less gems than KR server and 3000 less gems than CN server. And the numbers will increase as Elex continues to withold mini-house features from EN server.

We got the mini-boys cards but where are the mini-houses? It would have been perfect if we got them together.

Instead, after the anniversary EN server had Qixi Romantic Holiday event, Wedding Event, and the upcoming Sunset Mist Garden Victor/Gavin SP event.

I know different servers have different event schedules and other servers are not entirely free from this issue as well but the fact that Elex is bringing gem-costly events first and putting off updates that GIVES us free gems tells something, right?

Papergames: What must you do as a heroine of an otome game?

A: Date gorgeous hot men.

Papergames: No.

B: You must become a hero and save the world.

Papergames: Correct.

MC with the guys’ help saved the world three times by now. From evol rampage in chapter 14, virus epidemic/Black Queen’s massacre in chapter 18, Hypnos’s Eternal Winter in chapter 24. And in future stories she’s saving the world again from more world-ending crises. Can she ever go back to being a normal producer in a peaceful world? I think not. With Loveland City (and by extension the whole world) constantly in danger of apocalypse she and the boys will never catch a break.

SP Karma Guides

SP karmas are stronger than Top-up Flower SSRs(the karmas with the highest stats before SPs came) when they are fully evolved. However, fully evolving them takes effort (and money).

Comparison of Primary(Red) and Secondary(Blue) stats of 4th stage SP karma and fully evolved SSR karma.(Both are non-ascended)

SP karmas have 10 stages of evolution. An SP karma on 3rd or 4th stage of evolution surpasses the stats of an average two-stat SSR karma. Zero stage SP is weaker than SSR.

What Do You Need To Evolve SP Karmas?

SP karmas don’t require memory stardusts. They need SP karma shards or light shards(name may change in EN server).

You can get SP karma shards by exchanging duplicate SPs in karma pass. That is, if you want to evolve your SPs, you need more than one.

Or these purple light shards(name may change in EN server) can be used to evolve all SPs but it takes a lot of time collecting them.

Ways to obtain light shards:

Once a month in sign-in bonus(1 for f2p, two for VIP users)

Once a week in Daily Quests

Monday VIP package

Other packages

There are more but these are the ones I remember. Collecting enough light shards to evolve can take months because you can get only a few shards a month.

So How Many Shards Do I Need?

1st Stage: 10

2nd Stage: 30

3rd Stage: 50

4th Stage: 70

5th Stage: 20 + Memory Gear(You can get Memory Gears from Elite ch19-21 stages when they are updated)

6th Stage: 25 + Memory Gear

7th Stage: 30 + Memory Gear

8th Stage: 40 + Memory Gear

9th Stage: 55 + Memory Gear

10th Stage: 70 + Memory Gear

I don’t need super strong stats, I just want to read the date:

but you need to evolve the karma to 4th stage to read all the dates.

SP dates have five parts. This is me not yet able to open the last part of Gavin SP date because I only have 3rd level Gavin SP.

SP dates are also longer. Normal dates are about twenty minutes and SP dates are about forty minutes. SP dates also include mini-games and special calls.

So, to read the dates, you need to collect 150 shards that’s equivalent of 2 duplicate SPs.

One duplicate SP is worth 80 shards.

TL:DR You need at least 3 same SPs(1 + 2 duplicates) to read the complete date. Evolving SPs are more expensive than evolving SSRs. This game is becoming more and more tough for f2p players.

Also, Victor/Gavin SP dates and Lucien Temptation SSR dates are all spoilers that happens after chapter 24. ESPECIALLY Lucien Temptation is the date that happens after Lucien Hiking Date(Lucien Floating Light karma).
