lately i’ve been trying to fall in love with life so i think i’m just going to make a thread where i add stories that make me feel good

Today i went to a party full of strangers. i talked, made friends, passed out cake, and tried to do the footloose dance (which kicked my ass but was fun). i had fun without thinking of other’s perception of me and just lived.

couple of things this time

1. just reliving good summer memories. getting bubble tea, swimming in the river, etc.

2. my friend told me my car feels like a safe space and has good vibes (she didn’t notice the pile of fast food trash behind her thank god)

3. bringing new friends together and having them get along

4. going to the mall and finding exactly what you wanted (bubble tea key chain my little gremlin brain is obsessed)

5. having my grandma make breakfast for me and tell me how far i’ve come in trauma recovery

6. driving through my hometown and being able to point out good memories and having the triggers softened. proof i’m doing better

7. being able to say out loud i forgive and understand

8. holding a kitten and it just trusting you and falling asleep despite how you’re holding it

9. my cat still following me and standing outside the bathroom door years after everything happened. because when humans can’t understand you, cats remember

1. having friends that are willing to go on a last minute drive to the beach

2. telling my family i changed my major and they are super hyped for me

3.HOLDING A PUPPY AND IT JUST NUZZLES INTO YOU NECK. i broke out in hives but no regrets

4. just being at long beach it’s such a sweet place for me

5. fireworks and playing queen has become a tradition in my friend group. rocking to bohemian rhapsody while people also stuck in traffic stare at us was a blast
