She was supposed to be here for the next few days, but sadly, duty came calling in the form of the BPRD calling her back for an emergency. Lily didn’t want to go at all, she’d much rather stay back with Hopper, enjoy the peace and quiet, perhaps some alone time between the two of them.. however it seemed as though she had no choice in the matter. A sigh leaves her after her bag is tossed into the back of her rental car, and once she shuts the door her eyes turn towards Hopper.

“Hey, I’m sorry I couldn’t stay for long,” Her features look apologetic as she takes a few steps towards him. Another sigh escapes, a puff of steam billowing into the cold air before she decides to give him something that might hold him over until next they meet. “But.. Come here.” She tilts her head before closing the rest of the gap between them and meeting her lips with his, one hand moving to place itself just below his cheek, the other over his shoulder. It’s soft, short, but holds a promise: that she’ll be back soon.

“I’ll be back before you know it.” She speaks only after they let go. “I promise.”
