I'd say being obsessed with the show and vld fanarts helps a lot (like I think I see them everyday whether it's in edits, fanarts or eps haha) and work to get this "mix" between their "popular" features and your artstyle if that makes sense ?? Like, for Klance I usually keep their eyes in a style that's pretty similar to the show's but when it comes to stuff like hairstyles I like it a little fluffier while keeping the same original shape this way people can instantly recognize them.
