Hello everyone! I’m Shar (she/her) and I’m 36 years old and I love to write! I have a full-time job and I’m diagnosed with ADHD and autism. Thanks to my ADHD I have a lot of hobbies and not everyone of them is the same as the last one! The hobbies that stuck with me through my life are writing, reading and gaming from time to time.

I try to stay as positive as I can, but not everyone can be positive all the time.

"And you expect me to believe a stranger whom hasn't even given his name?" Loki hissed back as he continued to struggle. He tried to gather his seidr but was too drained from keeping himself alive to do more than cause sparks around his fingers. He was quickly wearing himself out but he didn't stop, couldn't stop with the fear and panic flooding his system. Especially since he had no reason to trust the man carrying him. "Now let me go you big oaf!"

Thayne looked down at him and cocked a brow. “Big oaf? Hmm… very creative…” he rumbled as he continued to walk home. “Thayne… my name is Thayne and you are in my territory. You’re bleeding all over the soil and marking yourself for other predators.” He just said in a baritone voice. “I’m not planning on hurting you. You’ll be safe in my cabin. It’s marked pretty well and barely any other predator dares to come close.” Thayne said matter-of-factly, as it was the most normal thing, ever. And to him it was. “Now stop struggling, you’ll lose more blood and you’ve lost enough to look like a fucking corpse.”

"Oh dear. I think your little wolf might be jealous." Astarion commented as he watched the youngest of them leave. "I'm guessing that means you haven't told him them?"

"No, I didn't wish to without your permission." Halsin answered with a wry smile although he really should have expected this outcome since while bears weren't monogamous, wolfs tended to be.

"As long as you don't get into the gory details I don't mind you explaining our arrangement." Astarion said with a wave of his hand. "Now I'm going to go take a bath while you handle your wolf. Do let me know how it goes, won't you darling? Preferably in time to run before I end up with a territorial wolf trying to tear out my throat."

Halsin huffed in amusement before going outside to find his mate and settle nearby. He wasn't planning to launch straight into an explanation but rather he wanted to gauge where Haldir's mind was and what he needed.

His wolf caught all of it and it made Haldir feel even worse. What arrangement? What gory details? He and his wolf had been so attuned the last few months, growing and becoming better with each other that this whole 180 on the peace he felt not even five minutes ago was upended and now in total chaos.

When Haldir noticed Halsin, he walked up to him. “You have some explaining to do… Because he’s going wild and ready to snap and I don’t want anything to happen.” Haldir’s body was restless as his wolf raged and panicked, the fear of loss and the need to snap at the vampire that was leaving his scent of expensive perfume and a hint of undead through their home.

"It won't be as explosive but it still can catch fire." Halsin answered as he ran with the pair.

Astarion listened to that and as soon as they were clear he spun on his heel to throw a bottle of grease towards the kicked up spores and approaching creatures. At the perfect point in the arc he fired a Fire Arrow to shatter the bottle and rain down the burning grease onto the creatures while also igniting the spores in a small, localized explosion.

Though the explosion was small, they would feel some of the force wind in their back, but not enough to unbalance them. Caligo didn’t stop running until he was told that it was safe to stop and when he did, his body just gave in and slowed, sluggish.

Caligo had been pushing it today, using powerful spells to the point his body just started to complain and actually become a hindrance. “I’m sorry… It has been a day…” With the panic attack and the encounters, it wasn’t so strange.

"Good boy." Astarion praised as he spread oil over the beads before slowly pushing the first of the beads inside his pet. "I want you to count pet. There are ten beads on this string and I want to see how many you can take before no more will safely fit."

Caspian lets out a whine as the first bead entered him, cold and slicked up. “One…” But this was nothing yet, there were still 9 left and he had no idea how much would safely fit inside of him. Eventually, he felt the second bead being pushed inside, letting out a sound of pleasure. “Two…”

Golden eyes glanced up when the witcher apologized, the cautious fear evident in his gaze as he looks back down to the witcher's side. "In a way I am. Nightcreatures aren't vampires, but they are undead fiends that eats human flesh and perish in the sunlight. Even though I'm half human people still see me as a monster..." He murmurs and pauses to take the small medicine bottle with the antidote to the nightcreature toxins and offers it to Geralt to drink.

"I am also sorry to inform you that you won't be getting paid. The nightcreatures turn to ash once the sun rises, even if they're already dead." Alucard told the hunter, knowing how the humans would want proof that the beasts had been slain. With the early morning approaching there wouldn't be enough time to go back to grab some proof and take it to town.

Geralt takes the antidote and listens to the other, downing it in one go and pulling a bit of a face at the bitter after taste. But when Alucard told him that his payment was going to be… null… His shoulders slumped and looked over his shoulders to where he had been. There was no time to get evidence. “Fuck…” he grumbled and growled. “It would have been a great pay and I need… Now I’ve gone through all of that for nothing.” The coin would have been good enough maintain most part of Kaer Morhen. He would still need to get more, but it he would have been ahead of it.

Astarion saw that spark of defiance but nothing came of it. Instead Damon was obedient. He watched him pleased with this answer until he left the room. The ascended vampire got up and dressed himself proper for the evening before departing himself. There were things to do, meetings to attend and other punishments and enforcement he had to dish out.

That left Damon alone in Astarion's room to get settled in and putting his things away. There was plenty of space on the book case and Astarion had a whole walk-in closet with various dressers that his new pet could place his things. Damon also wasn't restricted to the room and could roam about the castle, he just couldn't leave or feed without permission at the moment.

It was almost like Astarion had been waiting for someone to fill the emptiness in his room. Everything Damon owned, found a spot without becoming too much. Restless and bored, he headed out and wander around the castle, but every human servant was like a beacon to his instinct and the last one he passed, caused his sclera to turn red and his fangs out, making the servant run.

Damon groaned and decided that going out in his current state was unwise and didn’t feel like being shocked. So, Damon went back to his new home. He lied down on the couch and just stared at the ceiling.

"I am. Halsin mentioned in his letter that he'd finally settled down with someone although I didn't believe it until now given all his talk about nature and freedom." Astarion replied with a teasing grin for the larger druid as he reached out to shake the offered hand. "I do apologize for arriving so late but I'm sure Halsin has filled you in as to why."

It was a subtle way to gauge how much Haldir knew about Astarion's current situation and past.

"Regardless of the time you're always welcome my friend although I admit I wasn't expecting you this soon. Is all well with the colony?" Halsin replied as he placed a warm hand on the vampire's shoulder which Astarion leaned into with a soft sigh.

"Nothing's wrong. Things are actually going rather well. The usual struggles but everything was stable enough for me to leave for a while so I took the chance to." Astarion answered as he leaned closer to the bigger druid. "Besides, how could I resist visiting my favorite bear?"

Haldir was trying to keep a front as his wolf was just causing unrest inside of him. A spike of jealousy rushing over him that he felt was uncalled for. But it was bleeding into him with the intensity of it when the vampire said his favorite bear.  The druid’s shoulders grew tense and his body was just stiff.

So far, there had never been a situation where the wolf would react to this. This was the first time that someone else came to visit. “Excuse me, I need some air… just…” He looked at Halsin apologetically before he turned to do exactly that and took a deep breath when inside. Muttering things to ease his wolf.

Astarion saw his chance and darted over to the loose bark. He swiftly collected as much as he could although it wasn't as much as he would have liked. He then jumped to the ground, rolling as he hit the ground but still grunting from the impact. It hurt but not enough to stop him and after a moment he was on his feet again running towards the waiting pair.

Halsin watched the situation and as soon as they were all together he began to quickly usher them back towards where they had set of the Bimmerbang Mushrooms.

"Quickly. If they follow then they will smell the spores in the air and turn back." He explained calmly.

The moment Astarion joined them is when Caligo released his spell and started to sprint toward the Bimmerbang Mushrooms. The Horrors followed them with growls and snarls. They crossed the field and spores were roughed up as they sprinted through it. “Maybe if we get far enough… someone can set fire to the field? Would it still work when it no longer explodes?”

"No damage so far but I expect you to be quite sore and tired come morning." Astarion said with a soft chuckle when he'd finished his examination. He didn't stop playing with his pet however as he considered what to try next. "Hmm... Perhaps some anal beads next to give your body a different sensation. I even have some that vibrate in response to magic."

The inspection alone had him whimpering and quickly learned that it stopped being inspection when he found no damage and went back to teasing his body. The sound of the beads being next, made Caspian whimper again in agreement. “Yes…”

The witcher must be an enhanced hunter, resistant to poisons and toxins would certainly be useful. "It can't hurt to take some just to be safe." Alucard said as he brought everything over to the table beside where he set Geralt.

He assisted the witcher remove some of the armor so he could get to the gash. The dhampir knelt down and began cleaning the wound, there was something in the liquid he was using that helped to numb the area. Easing the sting of pain and the discomfort of when he started to stitch up the gashes. Alucard was focused on tending to the other male but there was a nervousness to him. His heart rate hadn't slowed down, still fearful of the hunter.

Geralt wasn’t sure if he was resistant to the toxins the nightcreatures had. So Geralt was glad when Alucard just wanted to be safe and took care of his wounds anyway. The throbbing pain ebbed some as the Dhampir spread something onto his skin. The Witcher sighed in relief and didn’t even flinch when he was being stitched up.

He could hear his heart and he realized that he had scared him a great deal. “I’m sorry…” His voice a low sound and raspy. “I was caught in fighting them for a long while and when I saw you… I thought you were one of them.”

Astarion held the bottle for the other like he was feeding a helpless infant, dependent on him. The amount that was given was no where near enough to recover, but the alcohol in it would help to numb Damon a bit. Once the bottle was empty he set it aside so he could cup the other's face with both hands.

"Good boy, not a drop spilled." The ascended vampire whispered. "Now, I have some work to do tonight but I will know if you misbehave or drink without permission." He stated and tapped at the collar. "I want you to move your belongings here into my room, you'll be staying with me until further notice. We will be very close... Find me when you're done and if you've behaved I'll let you have some fresh blood."

There was a spark of defiance in his eyes as he was ordered to move his belongings to Astarion’s room, but it was fleeting. The strength hadn’t returned, or at least not by much, but the aching of shock collar had ebbed to nearly gone. The reminder of Astarion knowing exactly when he’d be misbehaving… He had quite enough of the tormented thing and the sound of fresh blood was a very strong factor.

“I’ll get my belongings then…” He said quietly and got back onto his feet to head out and do just that. He found a couple of boxes where he loaded his books into, then all his clothes and before he knew it, his own personal space was bare. It wasn’t like he had a lot. It ended up being one big box, and two smaller ones. He stacked them on each other and lifted it with some effort because of his current state, but it was still easy enough. Then headed back to Astarion’s room.

"What are you do-?!" Loki asked before his words were cut off with a squawk as he was picked up. The sound changed to one of pain half way through since there was now pressure against the part of the wound that was on his back.

Loki would have fought against being carried but as he was picked up all the blood seemed to drain from his face as the sudden movement caused severe vertigo which combined with the pain to leave him shaking and gasping for breath. He wouldn't be staying complacent however since as soon as he recovered he would begin trying to get out of the man's grip.

"Let me go! Where are you trying to take me?!" Loki yelled as he struggled, panic edging his voice and making it higher in pitch than normal.

Thayne was making his way to his cabin and as the other squawked and hissed, he kept his steps light. And when he started to struggle in his arms, Thayne let out a growl. “Stop moving, you’ll only make it worse…” His voice a near growl. “I’m not going to hurt you, so calm your shit down. If I left you there, other predators would chase your sorry ass, so stop your squirming…”

While Haldir bathed Halsin cleaned up from dinner and did a bit of tidying up around the house. He was just about to go see if his mate was ready for bed when he heard a knock on the door. He frowned as he went to open the door since there were a limited number of people who would be knocking on his door at this hour and since it didn't seem urgent or panicked he doubted whomever it was was seeking a healer.

When he opened the door he saw a familiar pale elf pulling back a hood with a smirk. Astarion had arrived it seemed.

"Did you really have to send a bat darling? Surely there were other options for delivering your message." Astarion said as a greeting although he didn't try to enter the house.

"I thought you would appreciate a bat more than a rat." Halsin replied with a soft chuckle as he stepped aside. "Come in and be welcome Astarion."

Haldir was drying his hair and eventually pulled on something simple and comfortable before getting ready to bed. Then he heard talking and his ears perked. He followed their voices and joined Halsin. “You are Astarion? Nice to meet you, I was told great things about you.” He smiled and holding out his hand. Haldir knew he was a vampire, a free one. Still, Haldir gave no sign that he was afraid of the man, or disgusted. If he was a dear friend of Halsin, he trusted his judgement. “Haldir Emilion.” His long blond hair still damn and sticking about.

"Stay away from the trees." Halsin reminded since he knew they both relied on their magic in a fight and this whole area was likely to be effected.

Astarion noticed the distraction and used the chance to jump to another branch that he was fairly certain wouldn't hold the creature's weight. He then fired a Darkness Arrow as a further distraction in the hopes that he would be able to collect the bark and get out of there without a further fight.

Luck was not on their side as another of the Hook Horrors saw the illusion as well and began to go after it with a screech.

Caligo would try to keep the illusion going. Noticing the second Hook Horror and he cursed between his teeth. Eventually the illusion was too far away from the Warlock and it just disappeared. By this point, Caligo was getting exhausted and he was pushing himself with his spell casting. And he pushed himself further by casting darkness to trap the Hook Horrors, or at least long enough to escape. “I can’t keep this up… Hurry…” His spell demanded concentration that Caligo struggled with to keep hold of.

"Good. I haven't smelled any blood either but I should still check since this is a longer session than usual." Astarion replied as he continued the stroking of his hand for a bit long before pulling out and carefully getting them out of the bath.

Once dried and back on the bed he would gently use his fingers to check inside his pet to make sure there was no tearing. He was certain that his pet would be sore and bruised after this but he wanted to make sure it didn't go beyond that. And if he also spent time teasing his pet's sweet spot well he never said he wouldn't.

Caspian lied on his stomach, part of his body resting on a pillow to keep his ass elevated as Astarion did his checkup. He would be sore and bruised, but not in ways that it was or would be painful. The Tiefling would probably sleep the day away as he was just a mere mortal and so, there were limits that Astarion didn’t have.

He moaned and whimpered as Astarion inspected his hole, feeling him tease his prostate that made his body jolt in pleasure. “Astarion…” he whined.

"I'm not surprised they put out a contract on the beasts..." Alucard said and his eyes widened with concern when the witcher dropped to his knees. The dhampir was hesitant, fearing his own safety but the man looked to be in no condition to fight any more. Just because the witcher was not a danger now that doesn't mean he won't be later.

Alucard couldn't bring himself to let the man bleed out so he sheathed his sword and rushed over. "Nightcreature's claws are tainted, but I have medicine that will nullify the toxin." He said and helped Geralt back up to his feet, holding onto him as he guides the witcher into the castle. Alucard takes him down the corridor to what was like an alchemist's or doctor's lab and seats Geralt down in the chair. The dhampir leaves him to search through the medicines to find the one needed then starts gathering up what supplies that would be required to clean and stitch up the wound.

“Shouldn’t have an effect on me. My body is designed to fight such things and prevent me from becoming poisoned.” There were a few that if there was enough poison of it, that it could kill him. Though, in his life, he hadn’t studied nightcreatures, plus, one of those creatures weren’t like the other, studying them was pointless to some extent.

As Alucard helped him, Geralt put his sword away. Decided that this one was truly to help him and even if it was all a trap, he couldn’t do much about it in his current state.
