Dazai is still in the Port mafia/Dark Era. Mori assigns Dazai to kill reader. His lover. It looks like he won't. But at the end, Dazai kills reader with a gun at alleyway, lefting their body there.
Chuuya was assigned to follow reader, and was a bit excited to do the job, but does nothing because in Mori's words. Chuuya just need to follow. Mori is sure Dazai will do the job.
Dazai at the end dismisses the idea of a demon prodigy having feelings. Yet, he is heartbroken.
