It’s okay to start feeling better on a day you’ve called out sick.

You might be in a cycle of guilts, telling yourself it obviously wasn’t that bad if you’re doing better. That you could have gone in after all. That you were blowing it out of proportion.

No. Stop.

If you’re feeling better, it’s not because you made the wrong choice. It’s because you stayed home and rested.

That’s what the sick day is for. That means it’s working.

tumblr, which is held together with duct tape and madness, run by three raccoons in blood stained Yahoo! hats and a handful of crabs, its only discernible source of income the sale of shoelaces from an inside joke so inside no one knows the original source anymore and fake blue checkmarks... that website still lives on

truly the cockroach of social media and I love it for that

Self-bullying is a thing and it often happens to survivors of bullying and abuse.

Pay attention to what you tell yourself when you make mistakes or don’t meet someone’s expectations…would you talk to someone you love like that?

I know it’s hard but try to be kinder to yourself.

Hey, I’m glad you made it this far.

We live in an uncertain time where our world leaders who should be protecting us from COVID-19 have let us down. Trans people are under attack. Black people/BIPOC are under attack. Disabled people are under attack. Nothing feels safe anymore, does it? I can’t blame anyone for being terrified.

In spite of all of that, I’m glad you woke up today, and I hope you wake up again tomorrow. I hope you keep fighting so you have decades of tomorrows to wake up to.

I believe in you. I believe you’ll get to where you need to be in life, even if you do it to spite the people who tried to drag you down. You’ll have a story to tell that nobody else can tell.

I’m rooting for you. I’m so proud of you.
