Made this blog to keep myself accountable and use as a trigger whenever I'm feeling weak on my journey, but it seems there is also a big community here and while I should probably be recovering from this, it's also nice to be understood by others going thru the same things.

Pro Tip from a Weightlifter that Used to Bulk & Cut Yearly...

If you are restricting heavily (under your BMR) and you've been consistent and not binging every weekend (and no, I'm not talking about those one or two days you ate normal sized meals and felt like it was a binge) you very very likely did not gain those few pounds of fat your scale is lying to you about. I wish body fat scales were more accurate but they're not yet so all you see is the pounds, not what those pounds actually are.

If you are eating a lot of carbs when you do eat your body is going to hold onto more water. For every gram of carbs you consume, your body will hold onto 3 to 4 grams of water to help store the energy (glycogen) until that energy is used.

This is not to discourage anyone from eating a carb heavy diet, just letting you know that babe...you DID NOT gain 1-3lbs overnight eating below your Basal Metabolic Rate. It's not gonna happen. Our bodies are dynamic ever-changing biospheres, and we're mostly made of water.

If you're a woman it's even worse. Your body goes thru a massive hormonal shift every month that for most brings on water retention, so give yourself some grace because you know when you're locked in. Don't second-guess it.

You'll piss that water out eventually and the scale will go down.

We always talk about l0sing...

but what are you keeping? Personally, I absolutely refuse to completely lose all of my thick round ass, which is why I'm stopping at 110lbs. This is also why I still make weightlifting a priority even when I'm running on empty. I always do my best to maintain muscle with the energy I have.

I don't want stick th1n legs either. I still want ppl to be able to tell the difference between my calf and my thigh. I want to be th1n, not frail.

Another reason not to pvrge for long-term success in case you needed one. There's literally no way you've really gotten everything out thereby throwing your tracked cals completely off. Pvrging also does not teach you the discipline or self-control needed to maintain your goal once you reach it.

Plus I aint got new teeth money 🤷🏽‍♀️
