The chapter about how the opponent's striker flew into Andrew at one of the matches. And after the examination, the traumatologist sends the guy for an X-ray. The picture shows a crack in the rib. The doctor prescribes painkillers, 4 weeks of bed rest and breathing exercises. Naturally, Andrew is not going to fulfill any of the points. Because: 1) he doesn't want to take drugs, 2) he can't leave his family without his protection and, 3) come on, breathing exercises? Seriously?
That's why he goes to the airport with all the "foxes" for the next match, albeit in the role of a spectator. After a couple of hours, the discomfort turns into pain. It hurts Andrew to sit, bend over and carry his bag. He's starting to get annoyed. And periodically holds his breath.
Only Neil notices the guy's condition. He hears his own ragged breathing. And, holding Minyard by the sleeve, he slows down his pace.
- I'll take care of you. Yes or no?
Andrew thinks for almost a minute. And finally, he nods.
Josten takes his bag and they join the team. While the goalkeeper is trying to get comfortable in the chair, the red-haired man disappears somewhere, then appears with a bottle of water, a light anesthetic and a bag of dry ice in his hands. Andrew rolls his eyes, but accepts the help. After 15 minutes, he finds a position in which he does not feel much pain. When boarding is announced, everyone starts fussing and moving towards the queue. Hammick approaches the guys and starts saying something about the team they are going to play with. Andrew looks down at his untied shoelace and chooses between the pain (due to the tilt) and the risk of being fucked. Neil notices his look. He puts the bags on the floor, squats in front of him and ties the shoelace himself. Nikki freezes for a second, then makes a "oooh" sound, but under the gaze of her cousin, she falls silent and leaves the guys alone, squatting on the coach's ears.
In the queue, Neil puts Andrew behind Kevin (so that he, like an icebreaker, paves the way), and he stands behind, covering his back. And he puts his hand on his shoulder to save him from unnecessary collisions in time.
When they get into their seats on the plane and get rid of their hand luggage, the painkiller stops working. And it hurts Andrew to sit down again, in any position. Then Neil kicks Kevin out of his seat to an empty one (the flight attendants don't even argue). Then he puts a folded blanket on the seats so Andrew can lie down, and gives him his headphones, which are playing a podcast about sharks? (Does his boyfriend like it? No.. but for him, yes). And so it's really easier to transfer 4 hours of flight. The guy even manages to take a nap.. When the plane lands, Neil tries to distract Minyard with a conversation.
The hotel suddenly turns out that there is an orthopedic mattress (there is no such requirement in the Fox rider... a happy coincidence?)
And when Neil gets out of the shower and lies down next to him, Andrew waits until he settles on his shoulder and kisses him long and gently. He tries to put all the gratitude and many more emotions into the kiss, which he can't even describe in words.
- thank you, - says the blond.
"thank you for letting me," the redhead replies.
And Andrew thinks for the first time that weakness does not always turn into a disaster.
With this thought, he falls asleep.
Tomorrow is a hard day, the whole life is ahead, but they have each other..

The chapter is about how Neil leaves for the first time for a week, and this is their first long separation in recent times. Andrew hadn't had nightmares for a long time, but everything changed as soon as Neil flew away. Minyard was in no hurry to tell his boyfriend about it (well, yes, he accepted this status). But it is possible to sleep only 3 hours a night, and by the end of the week the mood deteriorates. But his junkie will fix everything..

Neil/Andrew
Head that Neil was engaged in music at a certain stage of his life (perhaps even before he went on the run). Andrew didn't know this until he saw his boy fiddling with the black and white keys of the piano that stood in their bedroom just to fill the empty space in the center of their bedroom. (That's what the decorator said, and they didn't argue)
It was a light, pleasant melody that was soothing. Now Andrew sings it when he's anxious and Neil isn't around. And of course, Minyard took a picture of it while his boyfriend was passionate about his business.
Someday Andrew will ask to play for him. But first it will call the customizer.
P.S. The photo was taken on a gift, which the cousin still accidentally forgot before leaving (or not by chance ...)
The melody played by Neil: the main theme of the film "Schindler's List" (piano version)

Andrew, chillin' in their fancy black pool.
And yes. The water in it is pink.
And yes. The inflatable mattress is the colors of the rainbow.
And yes. Andrew burned up in the sun because he lay there for two hours.
But it was definitely worth it. At such moments, he realizes that he is finally enjoying the moment, and does not feel anxious.
He lives.
P.S. Still the same Nicky’s polaroid

Today's head from the Sims game (I didn't click on anything, but just watched): Andrew, who moved into a new house with his boyfriend, feels so comfortable that he allows himself to relax in the bathroom for a while ... the sweetest thing is that after he got dressed, he stood for another minute and looked at the yellow rubber duck, and then took he put it in his pocket. And went about his business…🫠 And you know what? I don't even care why. I adore this unexpected boy in any of his manifestations🫀
