Iāve noticed one thing about BTS stansā¦ They really change their attitude according to who their Bias is:
(Disclamer: I know there are stupid people in every fandom/every BTS boy has stupid people following them for the wrong reasons)
Butā¦Hereās what I mean.
Usually if they stan or their bias areĀ Suga/Namjoon (who are incredibly handsome men) theirĀ āhandsomenessā becomes a secondary thing, these stans usually care about their thinking, what these men say and do, usually they are full of admiration and care for these two members, you will see them praising Namjoonās and Sugaās way of writing and expressing themselves, Yoongi stans usually are very conscious of how much he has grown and how he has achieved so much winning against his depression battle after battleā¦They love to discuss about what theyāve said and even which books theyāre reading, movies are watching, what music theyāre listening to. Namjoon stans are usually in awe because they canāt figure out how Namjoon is so good at making his thoughts come out of his brain as art and beautifully done concepts.
If they stan Hobi/Jin itās mainly because they have fallen in love with their character, honestly both of them are so good looking itās no joke (And itāll be pretty easy to fall into theĀ āsuperficialā hole specially with Jin because he knows he is good looking, he says he is good looking, he simply enjoys his good looks and mentions them whenever he can)Ā but again, the handsomeness goes to second place, Jin is always being praised by his babies because of how much he cares for ARMY, you can tell these people really have fallen in love with their charisma, with Hobiās sunshine like personality and with Jinās way of lighting up the fucking room the minute he steps in.
Then thereās Jimin stansā¦ Who are very confused and trying to find more words to describe Jimin becauseĀ āangel, beautiful, talented, perfect, loving and caringā are not big enough to describe him. But they also care more about Jimin and trying to decode his personality than what he looks like, usually they wonderĀ āhas he eaten well? is he smiling? is he comfortable? he doesnāt seem so comfortable thereā¦ please let Jimin rest! take care of yourself Jimin! maybe he was nervous, why hasnāt Jimin posted, is he skinnier?Ā ā.
But hereās what makes me a little annoyed, why are Taehyung/Jungkook stans soā¦superficial, listen, I know there are exceptions and that there must be very intelligent people who care about these boys on a personal level too but sadlyā¦
The majority of these stans only worry about these two men looking hot enough to masturbate to their pictures or to ship them together (or with the girl they (the stans) choose, some like Lisa from Black Pink, others like Jisoo, others think JK is going to get married to IU sometime this week, etcā¦) I have seen very few caring about how Vās personality has changed (recently) and how he is going through a hard time, very few who actually get JKās personality, who understand the clear messages he gives through the music he listens to, the videos he makes, the things he supports and even his favorite songsĀ and donāt think heās some sort of playboy whoās ready to fuck any pussy he seesā¦ Why is that? why is it that these two boys are infected by 16 year old girls who donāt see them because of who they are but because of who they want these two men to be? Ā they havenāt even noticed how Taeās and JKās relationship has changed, they aināt as close as they used to be but they keep beingĀ āgoalsā to some people.
Itās even rare that you see these people actually caring about their talents, besides the typical compliment ofĀ āJK is the golden maknae he does everything wellā andĀ āTae is handsome and heās good at actingā they seem to be likeĀ āwhatever, they look goodā
thatās it, Iām annoyed, please care about the boys and see them because of who they are, theyāre human, not fanfic characters that you can do whatever you want with them. Shipping is amazing, fan fiction is creative but when you donāt know how to balance that with what is actually happening with them, you need to re think what youāre doing and how youāre supporting BTS.
