Once upon a time, there lived a lovely little princess named Snow White. Her vain and wicked stepmother the Queen feared that some day Snow White’s beauty would surpass her own. So she dressed the little princess in rags and forced her to work as a scullery maid. Each day, the vain queen consulted her Magic Mirror, “Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?” ..and as long as the Mirror answered, “You are the fairest one of all,” Snow White was safe from the Queen’s cruel jealousy.

Birthday surprise to Flora!

Rose stood waving at the door to Flora and Fauna. The two were going out for a walk into town. Once they were out of sight she scrambled back into the kitchen and giggled with Merryweather. "We're going to bake a special surprise for Flora aren't we? Oh I'm so excited!" Little rose clapped her hands with glee and stood on her tip toes near the table they used to make food.

"Oh Rose, dear!" Flora called up the stairs, shifting the basket to rest in the crook of her arm. "Are you ready to go pick some berries?"

"Coming, Flora dear!" Briar Rose gracefully ascended the little staircase…

"Gooseberry? Oh dear, weren’t we going to make one not just yesterday?" Briar Rose followed Flora into the forest. She was a little concerned.. and something MUST be a’mis if they were making gooseberry pies! "We only make gooseberry pies when you three have something important to tell me…," she lit up and raised an eyebrow at Flora, "Is there anything you have to tell me, dear?" Briar Rose said in a sing-song way.

The fairy bit her lip as they walked into the forest. “What? Oh no dear, there’s nothing to tell - Merryweather just really loves gooseberries.” She smiled at Briar Rose and led her over to a bush. “Remember to fill you basket, otherwise we won’t have enough. And we’ll be practising your sewing when we get home.”

"Very well, dear," Briar Rose sighed and smiled. Swinging her basket, she followed Flora deeper into the forest and soon they came upon the gooseberry bushes. "We practiced sewing just yesterday, didn't we? Must we do it every day?" Rose sighed wearily.
