Welp, this is it unless something changes.

I’ve seen a lot of people who are just logging out for 24 hours in protest. I can’t say that I see that doing a whole lot. By all means, do. It’s better than nothing. Personally, I’m a fan of leaving entirely. Tumblr doesn’t have any reason to change unless it loses its user base.

If they go back on these new rules, great. If not, no great loss. Tumblr created an echo chamber for fans where call out culture thrived. I’m old enough to have been part of fandom before Tumblr, and this platform was a huge step backwards as far as creating a sense of community and treating your fellow humans with respect.

That’s not to say I didn’t meet a lot of great people here. I did! And I hope I’ll be seeing a lot more of you all in the future, wherever that might take us.

Nearly finished with the audiobook for Ancillary Mercy, drew my faves: Translator Zeiat and Sphene. The audiobooks for the Ancillary Justice series are particularly good; the actress reading them does all kinds of accents and it’s pretty awesome.
