I hate this drawing, but I hope I can draw something better for speedpaint. P.S. I'll do something simple to start with, otherwise it turned out that I drew a bunch of things at once.
I love this pic like relax dude nobody's gonna take him from you 😭
You hate the police because they don’t allow you to do hateful or stupid bullshit, I hate the police because they’re ignorant people who only care about the privileged. We are not the same.
Does anybody else’s interest in the Cuban Revolution also come hand-in-hand with love for the classic Cuban music?
I had already taken a liking to those types of genres before giving a larger thought to the Revolution, but mainly it was after the spark of interest in it had I paid more attention to the musical values of Cuba.
Can you give me some recommendations?
Of course! Here I’ll go by the authors/bands more so instead of songs.
I’d start off with classics:
- Buena Vista Social Club
- Havana Maestros
- Georgina Granados
- Celia Cruz
- Carlos Puebla
- Ibrahim Ferrer
- Ruban Gonzalez
- Guillermo Portabales
- ¡Cubanismo!
if you like those artists, you can start diving just a bit deeper into them, now I’d like to add to the list artists like:
- Che Guevara Speaks
- Vieja Trova Santiaguera
- Omara Portuondo
- Afro-Cuban All stars
- La Media Naranja
- Mario Manzanares
- Cimarron
- Cuba Cuba
This is obviously just a small portion and mainly more known artists, given it’s best to start from there, if you’d like more feel free to ask! I hope you can find this being somewhat your thing :)
Also, if I got anything wrong I’d advise anyone and everyone to correct me, wether it’s the way of writing the peoples names and the bands titles, or about the fact if these are actually all Cuban.
"i do not dream of labour" is one of the worst pseudo-marxist taglines that western leftists have co-opted because when you ask them what they do dream of, they say traveling, studying, and creating art. broski, who's flying the plane to take you to prague? who's the security at the library with the texts you're studying? who are the clerks in the museum showcasing your art? like bro, you do dream of labour. you just dream of someone else doing it so you don't have to! you merely want to outsource the labour and make it invisible.
best part is, those hobbies can also be jobs
rgeharhge I love this so much
trying something new…
They’re just going to come and just hang the local administration.
I love this is so much this is actually gonna become my new favourite (fan)art of anything ever. Always remind me to go back to this.
Pretty sure this is also the first thing I’ve reblogged on here, LOL!

it came in the mail when I was on a trip, the first day of the trip actually, so I couldn’t pick it up then. But I did it today and I’m really happy
